First off, let me say Thank you To Atticus for putting this video together. I couldn’t have asked for anymore than you did. Thank you!
As a wife of an Army Soldier, who’s been through two long deployments, waiting for my Soldier to come home, the loss of my friend Chad hit close to home and heart.
Chad left behind his wife Raechel and two sons Trevor and Coen. I ask that you all keep them in your prayers as well as his mother.
Always remember the sacrifices our soldiers and their families make to maintain our freedom and the freedom of others. And although we may not agree on the conflicts of our nation, remember those who’ve paid the ultimate price because they believed in something better for our world.

I am so sorry for your loss, Kalena.

A few years ago I was in a bar/restaurant with my wife. There were seven or eight HUGE guys...biker looking types...sitting at a table near us talking about having served in View Nam.

I asked the waitress to bring them a round of drinks and put it on my tab. As she was serving them I noticed her gesture towards me.

A couple of the guys raised their glasses and said: "thank you".

I raised my glass and responded: "Thank you guys, for serving in View Nam. I appreciate it."

One of the guys came over to me with tears in his eyes and said: "Man...I've waited over thirty years for someone to say that." And he gave me a bear hug.

To Chad I silently say: "Thank you for serving."
