Challenge consist of an 8 week season .





Points system used for each game to determine a player’s ranking (ranking system listed below). 





A "one-time side-bet" of $5 from each player who intends to participate in the Blue Monday Challenge is to be paid prior to starting time of the first tournament which is 6:30PM on 7 Feb.


 


 Any member of our LizzardBull Home Game League is allowed to play in “any” of our tournaments, but they will just not be “qualified” for this Challenge  “side-bet pot” unless they have  “opted-in” by  signing up ahead of game time.





Challenge tournaments will be held each Monday at 18:30PM, will be a $3 +.30 buy-in, NLHE with a 3000 starting stack, 10 min blinds, and based on a 20% payout structure.





If a player misses a tournament, they simply forego their possible points for that week therefore everyone is encouraged to make all the tournaments in order to maximize their points opportunity.





Points System:





All participants will receive ranking points for each tournament based on following concept.  Each Challenge member “who plays” a tournament will receive 1 point for simply participating. Major points are credited for the top 4 finishers after each tournament (30,15,10,5) so this is where you want to be. 





Following example is based on 10 members enrolling in Challenge:





Finish Position:


1st = (10 points + 30 points + 1) = 41


2nd = (9 points + 15 points + 1) = 25


3rd = (8 points + 10 points + 1) = 19


4th = (7 points + 5 points + 1) = 13


5^th = (6 points + 1) = 7


6^th = (5 points + 1) = 6


7^th = (4 points + 1) = 5


8^th = (3 points +1) = 4


9^th = (2 points +1) = 3


10^th (1 point +1) = 2





The 'rankings ' will be updated on a weekly basis.  Distribution of "side-bet pot" will be made at end of league play (8 week period) as follows:





1st Place = 50%





2nd Place = 30%





3rd Place= 20% 





 

Last Player Standing (LPS) “Optional side bet of $1”





NOTE: The private club, PokerStars Home Game, LizzardBull, Blue Monday Challenge now offers an "optional" LPS side-bet pot of $1 to those who "opt-in" on this blog "prior to game time".





This "does not" affect the 8 week League period $5 side-bet now on-going with 6 members enrolled !





DETAILS:


1. Interested players, each week, pony up an extra buck ($1) to put in a “pool” for the Last Player Standing (LPS). So, even if none of us actually cash ITM, one of us LPS members who plays and “opts-in for the LPS” will at least come away with something.





2. If you want to play and “opt-in” for the LPS, simply post in this blog that you want to participate in the LPS optional “side bet” and specify date of tournament (ie. Next tournament is Monday, 28 Feb).





3. Note, your “opt-in” must be posted in this blog “prior” to tournament time, otherwise you won’t be eligible for that week’s LPS competition.

4. After each tournament is completed, each LPS participant for that tournament will send the LPS winner $1 on his/her PokerStars ID … honor system applies.





Remember, the LPS “opt-in” is entirely optional. ANY MEMBER can still play any tournament without choosing to "opt-in" for the LPS side-bet.
