IN THE AUSSIE MILLIONS
I'm a city boy living in the country running my father in law's business for him. My friends all call me "The Boxer", and if you are nice and say please when you ask, I might just tell you why. Poker is my escape from all of the pressures of life. I enjoy playing online, (used to be only Pokerstars and prizeclub.com.au, but have come back to Full Tilt, mainly because of the nightly Australian $100 Freeroll!) but always have preferred live. I really feel that I am a much better player live. NLHE and 5 card draw have always been my games, but recently, thanks to RB and their freerolls, I have found Razz and 2-7 Triple Draw (love lowball!!!!!). At first I had no idea about the games, but have come to really enjoy them When I'm back "home" in Melbourne (which happens not often enough), I always make time for a visit to the Crown Casino poker room. The first time I ever played there I won $400 in a sit'n'go and have yet to have a losing session there ( same can't be said for the casion in Adelaide....see Worst Loss). Since August of 07 I've been playing weekly games on a Thursday night in the National Poker League (NPL). At the very first State Final in October of that year, I placed 14th in the state (after being overall chip leader at the combine of the two flights) out of a tourney of 550+ players, winning prizes valued at about $300. Not that I claim to be that good, but one day, I hope to be. My dream ever since I first started playing a few years ago was to go to the Main Event of the Aussie Millions, my home town tourney, and I'll definately be there in 2009, starting on Day 1c (check the full schedule below). Keep an eye out for me, you might see me on TV?!?!?! (Scary thought....for you, not me!)

The National Poker League. My live poker home when I'm not in the city. There I am at 14th in the very first Season Final for the NPL in South Australia in October 2007. (My best ever live result until the Aussie Millions Satellite in January 2008). Happy with the result, but I plan on doing better! By the way, the guy who came 20th won an NPL Aussie Millions Freroll the day before and the guy who came 3rd came 2nd to him in the Freroll and was named No 1 player in the State for the season, winning $500 cash!. Some pretty good players in the NPL!
