<I work at a local Hospital in the ER where i get to help all kinds of folks. Some get better, some don't, but I really love what I do, and look forward to a long career in the health care industry. I used to drive a semi-truck over the road for a few years with my wife (greengirl2,Kairee and just green) and a rottweiler dog and a cat.
Well, on Dec 17 I fell on the way out of work in the early AM, and i shattered my Kneecap...about 2 weeks later my ortho doc removed the shattered pieces and re sutured my patellar tendon to the remaining chunk of my cap and i've been stuck at home with a recovery period of easily 2-4 months until i may get back to my job at full speed. Till then, I'm gonna play the hell outta the tables and get better. GL always
Well now here it is March 20th and I have had lots of physical therapy, my knee can flex up to the doc's required 90 degrees...and he tells me that a full recovery and return to work could take a full 6 MONTHS!!! I've already stayed at home for over 3 months and I'm ready to get back, however I do know fully that there aren't any real jobs I can do at work if I'm not 100%. Looks like I really will be working on my tan before I ever get back to work...I miss my friends, my nurses, and all my Docs there, and I miss taking care of sick folks.
