Then to my surpise I woke up checked my blogs...

I became a Hitman!
Next for me is becoming a Capo...

Way back when I joined Railbirds I met a wounderful woman named Jag aka Judy...

While surfing Railbirds I finally came across an amazing page and an amzing blog!!!

It sums what most of what I wanted to say!!!

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions...

There are things that are important to me...

They include, but aren’t limited to:

Loyalty, Honor, Courage, Selfless Service, A Zeal for all Things Good…

In reading blogs, comments and general banter at the tables, I see a great many people who seem to struggle with their attitudes, so I decided to write this blog.

Todays world is pretty screwed up, I grant you that. The values I hold dear are hard to find, but thats the way its always been. If you look back over history, our society is no more screwed up than any other. The dynamics of social life are made up of changes...

Too often, we focus on the negative aspects of everything…we watch the "talking heads" on CNN telling us about all the horrible things going on every day, and we let these seeds take root in our souls and dictate our mindset. Its odd, isn't it? That we would waste one single moment of our precious life, the only one we have, being negative...being a victim.

I grew up pretty hard. But, you know what? So did everyone else, in a relative sense. One man's "hard time" would be another man's "vacation"...the "negative mindset" tricks us into believing we have it "worse" than anyone else. This poisonous cycle begins the decline, and before we know it...there we are. At our "rock bottom". We can't even remember how we got to that point.

Are we powerless? No, on the contrary. Identify the source(s) and work hard at cutting it/them out of your life. We are all INDIVIDUALS, and as INDIVIDUALS, we have to make a decision to THRIVE…not just survive. The TEAM can't help until the INDIVIDUAL makes the decision. Survival is a 'Half-Life'...necessary at the times when we need it, but the pattern tends to stay with us long after the threat is gone. Just as in your poker game, you have to "shift those gears" and "make a move" when you need to, to go from surviving to THRIVING. Otherwise you just get blinded out...

Make a conscious decision to thrive. Though I'm not a religious man, the prayer of St. Francis has some of my own hopes listed in it:

Make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy;

grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned.

You owe it to yourself to have peace...wherever you choose to seek it.

There are many Railbird members or clans that host Private Tournies on a weekly or monthly time frame! An honoured (well that is sure a reach) Railbird, Cepsi started to track all the private tourneys on his page until he retired. The started a page to make this job much easier! I get tired of looking up their page through edit friends so I decided to add the link to my page.
