    I am a proud Texan Grandmother of seven. I met Jerry when I was 14 and we married in 1957. To those who ask "How does one stay married to the same person for 50 years?" I answer, "Just stick out the hard times, it will be worth it to have a friend by your side in later years."

    I started playing poker 4 years ago. Jerry and I had been blackjack players, but rules of the game were making it harder to win. He told me I would never survive at a poker table. "Those cigar chompin' guys will eat you for lunch." After seeing me win for two years while he lost at blackjack, he joined me on the felt.
