Having watched especially Gus Hanson (not only because of his game, I admit) for some months, I started playing poker in December 2006. All of my friends had already been playing. So I practised poker within my family and in home games. And I won some bucks, what made me aspire for more ...
But my poker career turned out to be quite disillusioning and expensive. I had to learn that playing poker with friends I've known for years differs in quite a lot of ways from playing online against faceless strangers .
Finally I decided to look for a good conmmunity, and now I'm very glad I found the railbirds site. I enjoy commmunicating with other members, and I think my poker skills will improve by participating in that community ... hi and gl! (Especially to those that were kind enough to answer my first maybe quite shaky messages, 11linda and -1crunch1-.)
I even joined a clan - or happened to join it, and now I'm proud I did:
