Ftops Event # 23 will be NL Hold 'em 6-Max Knockout with a buy in of $240 + $16, the guranteed prize pool will be $500,000.00 !

Event # 23 will be hosted by Roland de Wolfe

    Roland de Wolfeavatar
    Roland de Wolfe

Roland "The Sheep" de Wolfe plays online at Full Tilt Poker.

Roland de Wolfe chose an unusual road to becoming the big, bad poker player he is today. In his younger days, Roland spent much of his time hustling pool in bars - one-handed.

As Roland grew older, he still continued to play pool and snooker, but those games took a backseat to the regular paychecks provided in covering poker tournaments as a journalist. He soon rose in the publishing ranks to become the poker editor of a British gambling magazine, Inside Edge.

The lessons Roland learned covering poker soon translated into personal success at the tables when he began playing professionally just three years ago. He scored his first major win in the summer of 2005 when he claimed the World Poker Tour Grand Prix de Paris title, besting the previous year's winner, Juha Helpi.

Later in 2005, Roland cashed in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold 'em event at the World Series of Poker and in the $15,000 Main Event at the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic.

In early 2006, he finished third at the $25,000 WPT World Championship, taking home more than $1 million. In June, Roland had two cashes at the WSOP, including a third-place finish in the $2,000 No-Limit Shootout. Most recently, Roland earned more than $691,000 by taking home first place at the European Poker Tour's Main Event in Dublin, Ireland and is now the only player to win championship events on both the WPT and the EPT.
When he's not playing in live tournaments or on FullTiltPoker.com, Roland enjoys grueling work outs at the gym.

There was only one FTP Pro that placed in the money for event # 23: David Pham placed in 235th.

Event # 21 will be hosted by Phil Ivey

    Phil Ivey

Phil won his first World Series of Poker title at the age of 23 when he beat Phil Hellmuth and Amarillo Slim in the Pot-Limit Omaha event. Two years later in 2002, he won three more WSOP titles. Phil also won two Bellagio tournaments, one World Poker Open tournament, two Commerce
tournaments, and has made his share of World Poker Tour final tables.

2005 was a good year, with two more WPT final tables, a second place finish in the WSOP Circuit Event at Harrah's Lake Tahoe, and the addition of his fifth WSOP bracelet in the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament. Phil won $1 million for his first-place finish at the Monte Carlo Millions tournament. Amazingly, only 24 hours later, he won an additional $600,000 for his first-place finish at "The FullTiltPoker.Net Invitational Live from Monte Carlo."

In January 2006, Phil received three incredible honors, being named Player of the Year by All In Magazine, Bluff Magazine, and the UK Gaming Awards.

Most recently, Phil placed second in the Omaha Hi/Lo event and third in $50,000 HORSE event at the 2006 WSOP. With these two events, he was able to cash for more than $800,000. In February 2008, Phil won his first-ever WPT Championship, taking down the title at the Los Angeles Poker Classic. It was Phil’s record-setting eighth appearance at a WPT final table, and the victory moved him into the top-10 on the all-time tournament money list.

Away from the felt, Phil can often be found on the greens near his Las Vegas home where he lives with his wife.

    Sigi Stockinger

Siegfried “Sigi” Stockinger plays online at Full Tilt Poker.

While he has played poker for more than 30 years, Sigi only began playing poker seriously in 1990 when casinos began to appear in Austria. A former banker and businessman, Sigi sold his business in 1995 to pursue his passion and become a professional poker player. Since then, he’s earned a reputation as a top player in both Europe and the US.
Sigi has reached more than 30 final tables in his career, including seven first-place finishes in his native Austria. He has amassed more than $500K in winnings on the European tournament circuit, playing in events ranging from 7-Card Stud to No-Limit Hold ‘em and his favorite game, Pot-Limit Omaha.

In the US, Sigi has posted five WSOP cash finishes, including his most recent in the 2007 $1.5K Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo event where he finished 19th and walked away with over $6K.

In Austria, Sigi has won the Austrian Open Tournament, broadcast live on DSF before an audience of millions. He went on to make appearances on one of Austria’s biggest lifestyle shows, Vera Exclusiv, as an Austrian ambassador for poker. He was nick-named the “Sigminator” after defeating numerous opponents during a visit to a US casino – a name that he says he can live with quite well.

Away from poker, Sigi enjoys chess, tennis, and skiing. He is also a music fan and is into fine wines. When he’s not travelling the world playing poker, Sigi lives in Linz, Austria with his wife and two daughters. Look for Sigi playing Pot-Limit Omaha in ring games at Full Tilt Poker.

Event # 19 will be hosted by Rob Hollink

    rob-hollink

Rob Hollink has always been competitive. As a young man, he was an avid sportsman actively engaged in tennis, soccer, and basketball. Unfortunately, his professional career was cut short due to injury. Undaunted, he found a new competitive focus. With strong backgrounds in both mathematics and economics, it came as no surprise when Rob rapidly developed into a solid professional at the poker table.

After experiencing a great deal of success in the casinos in his native Netherlands, Rob turned his efforts to the tournament scene. He immediately established himself in 2001 by taking first place in the ₣10K Pot-Limit Omaha event at the Euro Finals of Poker in Paris. He immediately followed this up with final table and first place finishes before heading to Vegas for his first WSOP appearance. Going deep, Rob finished 18th in the $5K Omaha Hi-Lo Split 8 or Better event. Upon his return to Europe, he finished out the year with several more spectacular tournament finishes.

Since that time, Rob’s been a regular at final tables all over Europe and the US, taking first place in more than 10 events and cashing in 15 WSOP events. Most recently, Rob found himself at yet another final table at the EPT Baden Poker Festival. Working his way through a field of tough competitors, he finished fourth in the €2K No-Limit Hold ‘em event and took home over €38K.

As a result of his consistent tournament successes, he’s clearly established as a true professional.

Event # 20 will be hosted by Mike Schneider

    mike-schneider

Like a lot of guys, Mike started playing poker in small-stakes home games with his friends. After "doing pretty well," he moved to playing online. As it turned out, his competitive nature and aptitude for the game allowed him to build a substantial bankroll and a career as a professional poker player.

Mike spent a couple of years at the low/mid stakes, working on his game both live and online for a before he made the decision to move up. This strategy paid off in March of 2006 as Mike demonstrated his command of the game by winning the PartyPoker Million V $10K Limit Hold ‘em event, earning $1 million. Since then, he has made notable appearances in the Fall Poker Classic, cashing on four separate occasions. His performance this year earned him the 2007 Fall Poker Classic Player of the Year Award from the Canterbury Casino.

He’s earned the respect of his peers as one of the most revered Limit Hold ‘em players in the game. Mike’s known to operate at stakes as high as 1,000/2,000 both live and online. While his performance at this level has been extremely lucrative, he still enjoys playing at lower levels when time permits.

Mike currently resides in his native Minnesota. He spent the summer of 2006 writing for the Minneapolis Star-Tribune doing a weekly poker lifestyle column while in Vegas for the WSOP. Away from the felt, he’s into sports both as a spectator and an active competitor. Mike rounds out his free time with friends, listening to music or taking in movies.
While he is a successful tournament player, he considers himself a ring game specialist first and foremost. As a member of the team at CardRunners.com, he’s an excellent resource for players looking to improve their Limit Hold ‘em game. You can catch Mike in action online at Full Tilt Poker.

Mike Schneider is a member of Team CardRunners. CardRunners is the leading premium poker training website, where members enjoy a library of hundreds of poker videos from some of the best poker players in the world. Please visit CardRunners.com/FTP for more information about Mike Schneider.

    markus-golser

Markus Golser was a poker player long before a casino finally opened in his native Salzburg, Austria. He rapidly went from casual play to making a respectable income. After a couple of years of consistent success, he made the decision to switch a career in sales for a career in poker. Since that time, he hasn’t looked back.

After going pro, Markus played primarily in Austria, focusing on ring games and occasionally playing in tournaments. Then in May of ’99, Markus took his career to the next level, winning €21K for his victory in the No-Limit Hold ‘em event in the Torneo di Poker in Slovenia. Even better than the money, the prize included a trip to Vegas, where he played in the 2000 WSOP.

Once there, Markus worked his way through a tough field to take third place – and $48K – in the $2.5K Pot-Limit Omaha event. During this trip to Vegas, he also scored big playing ring games. By the end of his first trip to Las Vegas, he had made over $90K.

While he’s still primarily a ring game player, Markus continues to excel in tournament play. He’s made more than 30 final tables on the European tournament circuit, including three EPT cash finishes and a solid performance at the 2004 WPT in France. He went deep and walked away with well over $30K in the €10K No-Limit Hold ‘em event at the Grand Prix de Paris. Most recently, he took fifth place in the €4.7K No-Limit Hold ‘em event at the EPT in Prague, taking an impressive $222K

    eddy-scharf

Sometimes you don’t know when you’re about to make one of the most important decisions of your life. For Eddy Scharf, picking a flight school seemed like a toss-up. He could’ve taken classes in his native Germany, but he went to Arizona instead. Now, because of that one coin flip, he’s Germany’s most accomplished poker player.

Scharf came to the U.S. to learn how to fly jumbo passenger planes. While in Arizona, he went on weekend trips to Las Vegas. A card player his whole life, Scharf always considered poker a game of luck. That changed when he noticed that the same guys kept winning. Upon realizing that poker is a skill game, Eddy set out to learn all he could about the game.

Scharf’s poker education took many years as his primary focus remained on his family and his aviation career. But while he took care of business, he was always reading poker books and squeezing in table time. The latter mostly happened when he’d travel to the U.S. for work.

In 1995, Scharf’s professional pendulum stated swinging the other way. Poker’s popularity was on the rise across Europe. Now, instead of traveling across the world, he could play locally. He began playing Stud and Omaha cash games near his home and started winning consistently.
For five years, Scharf was a final table regular in tournaments all over Europe. Then in 2001, he went back to where it all started – Las Vegas. He entered the WSOP’s $1,500 Limit Omaha event and bested players like Allen Cunningham and David Sklansky, whose book he had read, to win a gold bracelet. In 2003, he reclaimed his title and in 2004, he finished 15th at the Main Event and flew himself home with an extra $275,000 in his pilot’s flight bag.

As his country’s top poker player, Scharf is a regular commentator on German sports TV. When he’s not flying around the world or barnstorming live tournaments, he touches down online at Full Tilt Poker.

Phil played his first World Series of Poker Championship Event in 2001 and finished fourth to win $400,000 where he was prominently featured in the Travel Channel documentary, "Inside the World Series of Poker." He had two WSOP final table appearances in 2002 before he won the Pro Division of the World Poker Tour inaugural tournament in Aruba.

In 2003, Phil did expert analysis for the WSOP Championship Event for Binion's live Internet broadcast, as well as daily reports for a national radio audience. In March 2004, Phil became the only person to knock out two players at once to win the WPT's Bay 101 "Shooting Stars" tournament. lee-watkinson

True to his spotlight-shy personality, Lee quietly emerged on the poker circuit in 1994 in the $500 Limit Hold 'em event at the 1994 L.A. Poker Classic. Originally hailing from Washington, the Economics graduate virtually disappeared after that. However, Lee returned for good in 2003 and has been much more conspicuous since then, cashing in major poker tournaments all over the U.S., with some extremely impressive finishes.
At the 2004 World Series of Poker, Lee secured second place in the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event, earning $270,000. His performance was highlighted by the fact he played against an extremely talented final table, including such notables as Daniel Negreanu, Jeff Lisandro, and Team Full Tilt member Howard Lederer.

Just a few months later, Lee had two amazing back-to-back performances on the World Poker Tour. First, he finished second in the $10,000 No-Limit Hold 'em Championship Event at the 2004 WPT Mirage Poker Showdown. Then, Lee secured another second-place finish in a heads-up battle against the legendary Doyle Brunson in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold 'em event at the 2004 WPT Legends of Poker in Los Angeles. Though Brunson won, Lee left the table with a hefty $578,000.

Twelve years after his inconspicuous start on the pro poker circuit, the spotlight shone solely on Lee as he won the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event at the 2006 WSOP. Lee used his well-known aggressive tactics to out-last an impressive field of more than 200 players, consisting of many of the world's Pot-Limit experts, including the event's defending champion, Rafi Amit.

In addition to his first gold bracelet, Lee also earned more than $650,000. Lee will donate a portion of his winnings toward building a sanctuary for captive Chimpanzees. To celebrate his win, Lee planned to take his girlfriend and some lucky chimps out for cake and ice cream.

When the animal rights activist isn't playing live tournaments, Lee enjoys surfing and spending time with his girlfriend.

David has been playing poker for a living since 1996. For the first five years, he played 7-Card Stud exclusively, honing his skills at Foxwoods and at a private club in New York. Stud is still his favorite cash game.

In the last few years, the big prize pools for No-Limit tournaments have attracted David to the game. He finished ninth at the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2003, and has had numerous large cashes and high finishes since then. In 2006, David won $435,000 with a third-place finish at the WPT Caribbean Adventure. He then went on to win the Mirage Heads-Up Poker Showdown for $232,000, and took sixth in the $50K HORSE event at the 2006 WSOP, where he won another $411,000.

Before becoming a poker player, David had a brief career working as a lawyer at a non-profit environmental organization. While on breaks from school, he worked on sport-fishing and commercial boats and, at one time, he held two fishing world records. When David's not at the poker table he enjoys being outdoors, hiking, bird watching, and fishing.

It all started with a friendly visit back in June of 2003. Amanda stopped by to visit a friend, a friend who happened to be watching the WPT. Within a few hours, he had taught her the basics of Hold ‘em and played a few hands with her. That was it – Mandy B had a new passion.

She devoted the following summer to learning the game. Since then, Mandy B has made quite a name for herself playing online, earning better than $66K and the nickname “Satellite Queen” from other players. She used this success to propel herself into live tournament play after winning a seat in the 2005 WPT Main Event playing on Full Tilt Poker. Since cashing in that event, Mandy B has made it to the cash in several other WPT and WSOP events. Most notably, she went deep in the 2007 WSOP Main Event to earn more than $45K.

This past October saw Mandy’s strongest performance yet. Starting in a field of almost 300 competitors, Mandy took down the $1K No-Limit Hold ‘em event at the WSOPC event at Caesar’s in Indiana. For her efforts, she took home over $88K. All told, Mandy B has cashed for more than $154K in live events.

Though she’s been a No-Limit Hold ‘em specialist, Amanda is looking to branch out to other forms of poker, which isn’t good news for her opponents. She’s working on getting other aspects of her game into shape, much the same way she devotes time and energy to her personal exercise regime.

Away from the table, Mandy B – a Colorado native – keeps herself sharp by focusing on other passions, including exercise and wildlife/environmental conservation. She donates time and money to a variety of environmental groups and charities, and believes that maintaining a well-rounded life away from the table helps to keep her game sharp when the cards begin to fly.

Like many other professional players, Mike's career began as a dealer. After countless hours spent turning cards and analyzing hands, he decided to put his money where his mouth was and start playing for himself. He honed his skills playing late-night games at Sam's Town Casino in Las Vegas and, after achieving some success, decided to play full time.

Mike earned his first World Series of Poker bracelet in 1999 and his second in 2002. He had another strong showing at the 2005 WSOP, finishing ninth in the Main Event and cashing for $1 million. Shortly thereafter, he followed up his Main Event performance by winning the 2005 WSOP Tournament of Champions and earning his second million-dollar payday of the year.

In 2006, Mike finished second in the No-Limit Hold 'em event at the Las Vegas "FullTiltPoker.Net Pro Showdown from Red Rock Casino," and three days later he finished third in the No-Limit Hold 'em event at the Tournament of Champions, also in Las Vegas. Just a month later, Mike had a final table appearance in the $2,500 No-Limit Hold 'em event at the 2006 WSOP, where he finished seventh and cashed for almost $90,000.
In 2007, Mike took second in the prestigious Bellagio Cup III WPT No-Limit Hold 'em Championship event, taking home $671,320 for his effort. Mike's performance follows a successful campaign at the 2007 WSOP where he posted three top-20 finishes and cashed for more than $125,000.

Nick Schulman is one of poker’s most impressive "young guns", rapidly developing his skill playing online. Within a year of picking up the game, he had taken up poker professionally and was consistently posting winning results. Not long after, Nick won a seat playing online for a WPT event that would mark his foray into live tournament play.

Nick arrived at Foxwoods for the WPT 2005 World Poker Finals, facing more than 780 players for his first live tournament. This was not just a debut – it was a command performance. Less than three months after he turned 21, Nick took down the $10K No-Limit Hold ‘em event. He was the youngest player to win a WPT event and a record $2.1 million. Not too bad for a first tournament.

Since that time, Nick’s cashed in multiple tournaments, including four WSOP events. Most recently, Nick took second place at the WPT $10K No-Limit Hold ‘em at Foxwoods in November 2007. He worked his way through a field of 575 competitors and walked away with over $860K for his efforts.

At 23 years old, Nick’s already established a professional record that many players twice his age still only aspire to. Given his performances to date, it appears that this record is only going to improve. Look for Nick playing online at Full Tilt Poker.

Event # 8 will be hosted by Paul Wasicka

    paul-wasickaavatar
    paul-wasicka

Paul earned more than $6.1 million for his second-place finish at the 2006 WSOP Main Event – and was disappointed in his performance.

Ever since he was young, Paul has been fiercely competitive. After joining the junior high chess team, he quickly moved on to playing high school kids because he was looking for more challenging games. In high school, Paul found even more ways to compete, playing five different sports, including wrestling, cross-country, track, skiing, and volleyball.

After graduation, Paul’s competitive nature really began to pay off. While on a skiing trip to Vancouver, Paul wandered into a casino and put $10 down on a blackjack table. He walked away a short while later with $100. Five weeks after making his first $10 bet, Paul was sitting on a bankroll of more than $17,000 and began thinking about playing cards for a living.
Not long after blackjack captured his interest, a friend introduced him to online poker. Soon, Paul was spending hours at the table working on his game and studying the tendencies of the most successful tournament players. When he was ready, Paul put this information to good use by winning a satellite into the World Poker Tour Championship event, where he went on to finish 15th and collect more than $146,000 for his efforts.
Feeling confident about his game, Paul put some of his winnings toward entering a number of tournaments at the 2006 World Series of Poker. It was money well spent, as Paul finished 12th in the $5,000 Short-Handed No-Limit Hold ‘em event and 14th in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold ‘em event, pocketing another $65,000 in combined winnings.

Paul finished off his incredible 2006 WSOP in true style a few weeks later when he worked his way through the largest field in tournament history to finish second in the Main Event, collecting more than $6.1 million and firmly establishing himself as one of the most promising young players in the game.

Paul has lived up to that promise in 2007, finishing 12th in the Aussie Millions, and then finishing fourth in the 2007 L.A. Poker Classic. In March, he added another impressive performance to his resume, winning the 2007 National Heads-Up Championship.

There was a 512 players that joined Event # 8 for heads up play. Event # 8 had a grand total of $256,000. to be paid out. The top 64 will get paid and 1st place will take home $51,000.00 !

In 2007, Gus continued to build on his growing list of tournament championships, bringing home $1,192,919 for his first-place finish in the $10,000 Aussie Millions Main Event in Melbourne, Australia. Gus added another $1.7 million in tournament winnings to his bankroll in 2008 when he finished second to fellow Full Tilt Poker pro David Chiu in the WPT’s World Championship at Bellagio.

When not playing tournament poker, Gus is a regular participant in the "Big Game" at the Bellagio battling it out in as many as 13 different poker games with players such as Phil Ivey, Chip Reese, Doyle Brunson, Barry Greenstein, and David Benyamine.

Online, Gus can often be found in a high-limit Pot-Limit Omaha game or an Omaha 8/B Limit game on FullTiltPoker.com. On occasion, he can also be found in low-stakes Limit Hold 'em and Razz games, along with low-limit SNGs and some of FullTiltPoker.com's larger tournaments.
If Gus isn't playing poker, there is a good chance you can find him on the golf course, the tennis court, the squash court or playing soccer with his friends, as he finds that playing sports and working out help him maintain the physical stamina he believes is needed to be a successful poker player.

Gus also finds time in his schedule to provide poker commentary for both Danish and American television shows, and is always ready to play a high-stakes backgammon match against anybody who would like to challenge him.

Gus is currently single and resides in Monte-Carlo, Monaco where he spends a lot of time with his family.

    Dario Alioto

A native of Palermo, Italy, Dario’s no stranger to competition. For years, he successfully represented Italy at the national level in both Judo and freestyle wrestling. Then he was introduced to Texas Hold ‘em in January of 2005. Dario was “extremely excited” by this new challenge and immediately dedicated himself to becoming a winning player in the shortest possible time. True to form, he made it happen.

He struggled at first, but after a period of intense study and practice at the lowest levels, Dario rapidly moved up through the ranks. Within seven months of his first exposure to poker, he’d become a fearsome player and was regularly winning large tournaments. It was then that he made his way into the world of live tournament play by winning a seat at the EPT Main Event in an online tournament.

Dario’s first live tournament, the EPT €4K No-Limit Hold ‘em event in Barcelona, established him as a live competitor. He made the final table and walked away with €52K. From that point on, Dario consistently gave strong performances, making it to the money online as well as in live European tournaments.

In the summer of 2007, Dario proved his mettle as a professional at the WSOP. Not only did he cash in two events, he made the final table in the $1.5K PLO Hi/Lo Split 8 or Better. In total, he earned more than $55K.
Back on European soil, he was quick to get back in the action. After taking first place in a PLO tournament in his native Italy, he was off to London for the WSOPE £5k PLO event. Yet again, Dario proved to be the strongest competitor in the field, taking first place and over £234K for his victory.

Dario has demonstrated talent and tenacity online and in live tournaments, and doesn’t show any sign of letting up

Hans Martin Vogl didn’t get into poker until the summer of 2004. While on vacation, he watched a televised poker tournament and was immediately hooked. As soon as he got home, the tax expert focused his analytical math background on another endeavour: playing poker online.

After developing his skills online, Hans played in live tournaments in his native Germany. He did well for himself, and developed an impressive record. Hungry for something bigger, he made the decision to take his game on the road. In 2006, Hans made the trip to Singapore for the Betfair Asian Poker Tour. Of the 300+ competitors in the $4.8K No-Limit Hold ‘em main event, he worked his way to the final table and took home over $58K for 7th place.

Spurred on by success, Hans found himself Down Under for the 2007 Aussie Millions, where he proved his mettle yet again in the $10K No-Limit Hold ‘em main event. Hans battled through a tough field to a tougher final table, competing against the likes of Gus Hansen and Andy Black. For his effort and skill, he took 5th place and $318K.

Life has a funny way of dealing you cards that you never expected. There's no one who knows that better than Marco Traniello, whose path to poker mastery began when he chose a particular parking spot.
While visiting the U.S. on vacation from his native Italy, Marco decided to check out the sights in Las Vegas. As fate would have it, he just so happened to park his car next to Jennifer Harman's in the parking lot of the Mirage Hotel and Casino. When the two crossed paths, Marco asked her if she'd like to go out dancing. Despite the fact that it was late and she'd just lost $50,000 in a poker game at the Bellagio, Jen's instincts told her that Marco was worth betting on. As usual, her instincts were right - and the rest is history.

Although Marco was a world-renowned hairdresser when they first married, it didn't take long for him to catch the poker bug from Jennifer. During their frequent home games, Marco began playing and discussing poker with some of the world's top players, including Erick Lindgren, Carlos Mortensen, and Daniel Negreanu. Despite the fact that he had never played poker before, his exposure to such high-caliber players soon turned him into a formidable opponent.

After several years of developing his cash game skills, Marco decided to give tournament poker a try. In 2005, he played in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) for the first time. His tournament debut was nothing short of stunning - Marco cashed in seven events, setting a new record for WSOP cashes. In the process, he made one final table, three top-20 finishes, and earned more than $76,000. In the 2006 WSOP, Marco went on to notch another four cashes, proving that his first year wasn't just a flash in the pan.

2007 saw more of the same for Marco. Not only did he cash in three events at the WSOP, but he made final tables at each one and earned more than $190K for his efforts. Shortly after, he went deep in the WSOPE No-Limit Hold ‘em Championship and took home another $57K.
Not content to rest on his laurels, Marco continually challenges himself to improve, putting in extensive game time and honing his skills on a daily basis. Given that he regularly plays with the world's top players and works on his game with Jennifer, you can be sure that the future is only going to get brighter for this rising star.

When he's not playing in some of the most exciting home games in the world, you can find Marco playing online at Full Tilt Poker.

Jeff was born in Santa Monica, CA. He lived in his childhood home until he moved to Santa Barbara to attend the University of California.

Until recently, the biggest highlight in Jeff's life occurred at Dodger Stadium where he, along with the rest of the Pacific Palisades High Dolphins, won the City Invitational Baseball Championship. Also, until recently, the only real famous poker player to come out of Pacific Palisades High School was Team Full Tilt member Chris Ferguson.
But all that's changed now that Jeff's made poker history.

At the 2006 WSOP, Jeff started out placing third in the Omaha Hi/Lo split event. Eleven days later, Jeff went all in with J-7 in the No-Limit Hold 'em event and beat out Paul Sheng to win his first WSOP bracelet and new title: The youngest winner in WSOP History.

Six days later, Jeff made history again when he won his second WSOP bracelet after beating Erick Lindgren heads up with a pair of Qs in the Short-Handed No-Limit Hold 'em event.

Jeff has an aggressive style that many believe is the hubris of youth. But, with four final tables in four different events and two WSOP bracelets under his belt, he hopes it proves that he's not a fluke player.
Overall, Jeff credits his ability to read players to watching a lot of films and to studying people.

A native of Milan, Italy, Max is as colorful as the clothes designed in his hometown. Known as the "Italian Pirate" because of his trademark Italian flag bandana, Max is considered one of the most likeable - and ruthless - players in the world.

Max has been a games player since he was young and would often skip opportunities to go to the beach or nightclubs with his friends so that he could stay home and hone his skills. Ultimately, his dedication would lead him to the card capital of the world - Las Vegas.

On the Strip, Max worked during the day and honed his poker skills at night. By playing cash games, his poker IQ grew and his moonlighting gig began turning a respectable profit. Then, in 1998, he sought the advice of Valter Farina - the first Italian to win a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet. Farina agreed to mentor the young buccaneer and, after a year of training, Max left his day job and turned pro.

At first, Max's professional career was based only on cash games. However, the winds of change began to blow when he won a trip to the World Poker Tour tournament in Aruba. Although Max didn't place in the tournament, he ended up winning something far more important: the friendship of fellow Italian Marco Traniello and his wife, Team Full Tilt's Jennifer Harman. When they returned to Las Vegas, Jennifer started Max's poker education all over again. It's a time Max describes as a new chapter in his career.

Jennifer invited Max to watch her play in the Big Game at the Bellagio, where she regularly faced off against Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, and Chip Reese. Most importantly, she showed him her cards before each hand, giving Max a rare insight into how she played against the biggest names in poker.

Jennifer's lessons, which were more about the poker psychology than calculating odds and percentages, changed how Max thought about poker and enabled him to play on a whole new level. Max quickly moved from playing $30-$60 cash games to $80-$160. Then, further encouraged by his success, Max decided to jump headfirst into the world of tournament poker. It was a decision that would pay off a pirate's ransom. Max's solid play quickly earned him two World Poker Challenge wins in 2003, the start of a long string of victories and final tables that continues through today.

In 2004, he had two money finishes at the WSOP and made eight final tables in the Ultimate Poker Challenge. In 2005, he did even better. Max made the final table of the L.A. Poker Classic, finished second in the Mirage Poker Showdown, and had six WSOP money finishes. Based on these accomplishments, Max was ranked ninth on Cardplayer's Player of the Year list in 2005, the highest ranking ever achieved by an Italian player. Then, at the 2006 WSOP, Max earned his highest honor yet when he won a gold bracelet in the $2,500 No-Limit Hold 'em event - adding more than $682,000 to his booty in the process.

Since his bracelet win, Max "The Italian Pirate" continues to pillage the poker world, one table at a time. When he's not plundering chip stacks in live games, you can find him online, playing at Full Tilt Poker

David "Dragon" Pham came to America from Vietnam when he was 17 and got a job working for his uncle. Like a lot of people, he started playing poker and learning the finer points of the game with his family. Unlike a lot of people, his uncle and teacher, Men Nguyen, happened to be a WSOP bracelet winner. From that point on, it was only a matter of time until David found his own fortune and glory in poker.

Throughout the ‘90s, David established himself - and his bankroll - as he steadily racked up final table appearances. At his first WSOP in 2000, David made two final tables and pocketed more than $65K in winnings. Due to his great overall success that year, CardPlayer named him "Player of the Year" for 2000.

During the 2001 WSOP, David joined the ranks of the poker elite when he won his first bracelet in the $2K SHOE event. He won his second bracelet at the 2006 WSOP, taking down the $2K No-Limit Hold ‘em Shootout. All told, David’s had great success in the major tournaments, cashing in multiple WSOP events throughout the years and making five final tables at the WPT as well as winning the L.A. Poker Classic and the Five Diamond Poker Classic in Vegas.

Yet again in 2007, David proved that he was at the top of the game. He made an amazing 11 final tables for the year, including one WSOP and two WPT events, and won more than $1.8 million. As a result of his continued winning performance, David was named CardPlayer’s 2007 "Player of the Year". In earning his second "Player of the Year" award, he joins the ranks of an elite fraternity of multiple-title winners.
With such a stellar record of success, David’s game clearly speaks for itself. He’s one of the best and most active players on the tournament circuit today. When he’s not sitting at a final table in a live tournament, you can find David playing online at Full Tilt Poker and watch the Dragon in action.

David Chiu was born in China and raised in the United States. A former restaurant owner and poker dealer, David has earned a reputation as one of the best Limit Hold 'em players in the world.

David credits much of success to a childhood injury that left him with a 35% hearing loss. He says the concentration it took to compensate for this loss resulted in the development of his people reading skills - a talent that has helped him greatly at the poker table.

David first brought his amazing talent to the 1981 World Series of Poker where he placed fourth in the $1,000 Ace to Five Draw event. Five years later, David took fourth again in the $1,500 Limit Hold 'em event at the 1986 WSOP.

Over the years, David worked to improve his game. His dedication paid off in 1996 when he won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in the $2,000 Limit Hold 'em event. Two years later, in 1998, David added to his resume when he won the $500 Limit Hold 'em event at the L.A. Poker Classic. Just three months later, he won another gold bracelet in the $3,000 Limit Hold 'em event at the 1998 WSOP. Amazingly, it wouldn't be his last.

In 2000, David won another coveted WSOP bracelet in the WSOP $5,000 7
