Default what do YOU do?

What do you do when the cards just aren't coming?

In cash games it's easy - stop playing for a bit. But what if you have a moderate stack about halfway through a tournament and the cards just stop. What do you do? You can't get up and walk away, but you can't force a game when the cards are 2 8, 3 8, 5 9 time after time....

I know most would say start making the cards dance no matter what. But I would rather be patient and if I get blind off it is still better then getting money in bad.

play more fluidly. if necessary, lower your standards for just a bit while your cards get hot again. nobody else knows your cards are cold so start splashing some chips around with hands you normally wouldn't. you'll take down pots the easy way while you wait for more solid holdings that you can stake some real money on.
