Hi reel,

I used to have the same exact problem and in my opinion, it is a common problem among solid players who last until the bubble or beyond.

You probably already know you have to play tighter in the beginning to build a stack, then selective through the middle of the tourney. But when it's crunch time, you must be willing to change gears and go for it.

I know, it's not easy to carefully and thoughtfully build a nice stack for an hour or more to make the final table, and then abandon that philosophy, but it made a huge difference for me in the past.

It sounds counter-intuitive, but that's the crazy game of poker

good luck

Yeah, changing the whole gameplan at the final table is especially hard, simply because it feels like I've put too much time into this tournament to let it hang on a 50/50 coinflip. But I realized today that poker is exactly like relationships - you need to adjust to the other person's personality in relationships and you need to adjust to other people's palying style's in poker.

I guess what I'm saying is that it sounds like there is no definite final table strategy in poker, rather situational strategy. Kinda like all of poker LOL.
