I HAVE JUST READ WITH INTEREST (Agree or Disagree to this way of playing freerolls?) ALL VERY SOUND ADVICE CANT ARGUE WITH ANY OF IT. yes there are lots of donkeys out there and i find it wise to sit back and let them be taken out, unless i get the cards to take them down myself.there is of course the new breed of player, and the new way poker is being played on all and every site. ITS look for the chance to get your chips in the pot.
people who are adopting this style of play and getting the balnce right are winning with any 2 cards and winning lots, not just the odd freeroll or sng but lots. i think a new way to play poker is evolving and there are some good players taking this style forward. i had one player who thought he had the right to win because he had ak and put a large raise in after the river, the board showed 10 high giving me a pair of tens, but my win just was not on for this guy,,,how dare i call his ak,,how dare i go with 8 10,, well he did'nt bet until the river and i thought it was worth the call. i dont think there is going to be any room for the old school way of playing in the future,,,there are to many younger players out there now and they want to play the game there way or no way. dont think that they are all donkeys,,some of them are very good and very smart. just take a look at some of today's poker stars, they are taking the game to a new level and winning millions on the way. anyway its just an observation you may agree with or you may not. if you read this thank you |

google pokerstove, ICM, Doyle, Chip Reease.... its the chip stack, buy-in, Cash Ring, HU, Omaha, or what ever game. There will always be great players, good plyers, so/so players, fish, donks and bad beats. You just have to find were your game is and play to that level. JMO

when im actually playing a good game i tend to pay more attention to my chipstack then my cards... ill commit chips very loosely if i have them and then be called a donk for winning against QQ with my 48o...
if i see im committing too much i can always switch back to tightness. even though my current ROI wouldnt support it: I really was winning ALOT for about a week doing this.. all the way up to 33$ sit and goes... |

If you commit chips loosely with hands like 84os you are just bad... and there is a reason people would be calling you a fish. There is an advantage to having a big stack and things you can do with it but none of those things include calling with hands like that.

i always laugh at the people that say that... You CONSTANTLY see the pros do it but i suppose its ok since they are pros. |
