Default Which is the best site for tournaments & freerolls ? ? ? ?

Hi Fellow Railbirds

I'm pretty much new to playing poker online,I'm only playing on Full Tilt,Two reasons 1-can only play every 2nd/3rd weekend & 2-its the only one I've downloaded.
At the moment I play Freerolls & $2.25 to $5.50 tourneys & 5/10 ring games while waiting for the tourneys to start.
I've been getting hammered on tilt, bad beat after bad beat, in the tourneys I'd get with in sight of the money & get rivered out in the ring games I'd chip up to 3/4 times what a started with($10 into $30/$40) then get AA,KK or AK & get beaten by a flush ,straight or in KK's by AA & either have to realod or I'd be even with what i started with.

After all that my Question is can Anybody recommend a Poker site that in their opinion is the best.(No Pokerstars please,I've heard about it)

Thank you

You say "new to playing poker online" I take it your not new to poker. As for your "bad beat after bad beat" well, welcome to poker online. Online poker and B & M poker are not the same thing. There are a ton of books for the "Online" player, check them out. When I decided to take my game more serious, not just a pass the time thing, I found alot of my "Bad Beats" were do to my poor play. I am not saying that's true in your case just something to think about.

I think you need to improve your game or move down to a lower limit or both. AK with 3 diamonds on the flop and an all-in bet, your A or K is not a diamond, is a no-brainer lay down. AA and KK are tuff lay downs but some times you gotta do it.

For the question on " Anybody recommend a Poker site" the days of Party Poker are long gone my friend and we both missed that boat. I play on both PS and FT and they are pretty much the same. You have Fish, Donks and Sharks on every site. Just a FYI Fish and Donks are your friends, in the long run you will make $$$ off them. Don't make fun of them or call them names, not at least till you get there $$$ and they leave the table, and stay away from the sharks. Just my opine, welcome to Railbirds, gl n keep on cashin'

If you want a single site with excellent freerolls and tourneis, I'd have to go with Bodog. It has some glitches, at least I've heard, but they apparently have some amazing freerolls, and they really support Railbirds - they add money to Railbirds pools, and offer to triple the amount of cash you earn if you have deposited.

Good luck n keep cashing!

I started on BoDog since Railbirds started their freerolls there. But I found that they have some excellent freerolls. Unlike FT with their $100 freeroll and PS very difficult freerolls having to win one in order to get in the money one. Its got 3 freerolls daily. 2 for $500 and 1 for 1K. There is some site problems like getting info and structure info but Ive played in 4 of them and placed in the money twice. I now have $5.50 in my account and plan to build it without making a deposit. I heard you can also withdraw without having to load up. I will be playing in the cash games as soon as I can build up my BR.

aight man here are your options

pstars: much larger fields so if u strike luck youll make bank

Full tilt: lots of micro stake options running every hour lots of small stakes turbos double stacks and rebuys all the time.

sites like UB/AP/Bodog: softer yet smaller fields...

personally i like FT but thats because i love to multi table microstakes tournaments and they run the most tourneys at a time...imho

hope this helps......best of luck.

Bodog has the best freerolls but thats about all they have. Their software is annoying. I believe full tilt is the best for money tournaments and second would be stars. I've tried every site and I only play on tilt and pokerstars now except for special freerolls.

My favorite site is Full Tilt. I've only tried party poker and pokerstars, but I've stuck with FT.

As far as the "bad beats" go, start keeping track of your play. You will eventually see that you are winning around the correct percentage of hands. (AA will lose to 92o eventually. It's poker, deal with it and move on or don't play at all.) The only reason it seems unfair is becuase you see a lot more hands per hour than you do at a live tables.
