I play that tourney every chance I get. I always manage to get good hands early and nothing later in the event.

I am kind of neutral on it though. I like it but don't like how fast the blinds go up either.

Better luck to all that play.

stars just wants lucky people in the daily fifty grand to win some money and then go lose it all at the tables

I play mostly for fun and only for peanuts. I think turbo tournaments are great fun. But no, you can't sit around waiting for nut pockets. Defend your 8 9 s with a push. Feel great when (or if) you hit.

the blinds to the freerolls used to be 15 minutes, and believe me, you don't want that to happen. that's how i built my roll actually, was playing a HUBBLE for 7 hours to get to the 27th place bubble.

the tournament lasting for 7+ hours to get a few measly dollars is not something you want.. trust me. esp if you last 6 hours to get 48th then bust, imagine that one anyway, daily 50k freeroll is not about skill, its about luck. any turbo with 10k people is based on luck. from what you said with the J10 and your M you probably made the correct decision at the time, so you can't blame yourself.

GL.

There is skill in the turbos. you've just got to know how to play them.

Hmmmm I am hearing alot of gosh its impossible for me to wins...MABE thats the problem!
You go in there knowing you are an experienced player with the skills to take it down and read the players around you or dont go at all till you can. Practice playing in some smaller stakes or even the play chips those guys are great practice material. You also have to think that alot of the players are worried about the blinds rising etc and will make desperate plays while the more seasoned players will wait for a monster hand and make a killing on the turn or river.
Dont give up by any means just get to practicing or even keep a journal and find out where it is you are having holes in your game...xoxo
