Question Does anyone use Stackback.com?

I'd be interested in participating in a rakeback program like the one offered by Stackback.com but I'm hesitant to join without some testimonials. Does anyone use this service? Does it seem like a scam of some of sort? I doubt railbirds would promote it if it were but if anyone could give me some feedback on them, I'd appreciate. Thanks and good luck, fish.

I had a similar question - what are the good rakeback sites? And is it possible to join if you already have a name with the poker site?

Here is a link to the StackBack FAQ with more info about their program, StackBack FAQ

The question and answer that I found most significant was this one:
Can I get rakeback on a poker room where I already have an account?

Most poker rooms don’t accept this; however there are a few exceptions. Contact us if you wonder if the poker room you are using supports this.
Since you most likely can NOT sign up for a rakeback with StackBack for a site where you already have an account, I have not tried to sign up with this program.

Here's another rb forum thread where a rep from StackBack has contacted a few rb members, ????.

Hi

Momoney2 is right. For the very most of poker rooms it's not possible to get rakeback if you already have an existing account. Actually, it's not possible for us to add rakeback to existing accounts at all, but a few poker sites allows multiple accounts, such as sun. There you can simply register a new account to get rakeback on trough us.

I'm trying to figure out why anyone would use a service like this. If you are concentrating on what percentage of the rake you will be getting back, doesn't that prohibit you from concentrating on how much of the surrounding chips you can accumulate?

Maybe its just me but if you concentrate on profitable poker play, the tiny percentage of the rake you will get back is pretty much moot.

I looked into it and it is of no use to me as I already have accounts on the only sites that interest me as far as feeling secure with my real $......
I am not interested in depositing my money to play on their other site options to obtain a little kickback....
Perhaps in the future they will work something out with the likes of Full Tilt where an already existing member can register but for now shes a no go.....

I personally use rakeback.org, and you don't worry at all about your rake. It just shows up automatically at the beginning of each new month. You're telling me that you have no idea why anyone would want free money? Because that is all it is, free money. No distractions, nothing. Of course, it isn't ever really much, but seriously, it's free money.

I know I sound like a broken record, but rakeback is FREE MONEY! If you haven't already, and if you can, sign up for it.

BGibbs explained it better than I could have done

You can't think about what you're getting back while playing. Just register for a deal, play your normal game and be positively surprised at the beginning of each month when you get some of the rake back.

Default Rakeback is the nuts...

Everyone should get an account. You're earning a buck an hour even playing the lowest limits on a lot of sites if you multitable. For higher limit players or multitabling sng'ers you're going to be getting A LOT of rakeback.

i prefer raketherake.com - if you accumulate enough points you get entered into a 20k freeroll at the end of every month and its not very hard to do if youre an average player. + its 27% rake back paid every 15th of the month, no complaints
