Default Thoughts on High Stakes Poker going off the air

Hey. Thought i would get your thoughts on the recent High Stakes Poker problem. For those who dont know, HSP has had difficulty geting resigned on GSN. I for one think it is the best poker show out there and would hate seeing it go.

Unfortunately I am pretty confident HSP will not get its contract renewed by GSN. The buzz is that the person who was responsible for bringing in HSP and then the WPT to GSN has left the network and his replacement is definitely not pro poker. Currently even WPT's contract has lapsed and apparently negotiations are underway with other networks. Who knows what will happen to both HSP and WPT with all this happening.

I though HSP was being replaced by the Poker After Dark cash games? HSP was great, PAD cash is okay, a little boring.

This would be very disappointing. I think it is the best poker show out there, however I have got pretty hooked on BDPS.

HSP and PAD are both produced by the same company. They are looking to have a network pick them up but at this time the only show with a contract is PAD. I am not sure of the current status of WPT except that GSN only had a one year contract for the current season and has already allowed the contract to lapse for the next year.
