You gotta love Phil, even when you hate Phil. It is hard to argue that he is not the best tournament Hold 'Em player of all time. So while you may have to sift through the self-promotion (and product promotion), you probably want to hear what he has to say regarding poker play.

Smile Phil

I found his comments about playing tight interesting. He did go through a long drought for awhile and I do find that many of the pros do not fear or seem to be confused by his play. The tourney he finally broke the drought was a heads up tourney where he trapped player after player. The format favored his play etc. I have played tight many times and find it powerless poker and frustrating when you have a hand and you have to play aces four handed. Sometimes I wonder if there is a threshold to playing tight in tourneys where you have to change gears. I have done it before with success but have found trouble finding the exact time to change gears. Any advice any of you may have on this subject would be appreciated.
