Default Rakeback

Hi Railbirds
I just started using a rakeback scheme. Does anyone know what minimim stakes you have to play to recieve rakeback? I am on the cryptologic network.

The one that I have doesn't matter what stakes you play as long as the pots are raked or there is an additional fee. I receive 27% of the total rake that I contribute.

i've heard that if your already signed up with a site like full tilt...playing cash games even though you've never deposited (via freerolls) that you are ineligible to apply to any rakeback program? is that true?

i didn't even know much about rakeback until i actually started playing and now it seems like a very decent deal (27% back versus zilch adds up)

if ineligible...would I actually have to change my mailing address, IP address, new full tilt account, etc...to potentially apply then? I've only been playing freerolls for about 6 weeks...had done okay but recently busted out my small bankroll I'm just thinking that to start over again, I might want to do it the right way and get with rackback if I can.

Any thoughts?

Pretty sure that is true.

I have no idea how rigorous they are with checking up on new accounts, but it seems to be quite a serious offence if you're caught (illegal?)

You'd probably be better off going off to a different website and getting rakeback there.

Yea I wouldn't try opening up a new account just for rakeback. You're asking to get caught. Def not worth it.

samson1121....did you set your rakeback account up before you ever won a freeroll? or after? if you did it after, then your situation is the same as mine so i'd be interested in talking with you more about which group you signed up with

just got a msg from FT in response to an e-mail...guess you can't close an account and re-open a new one...against their rules. I'm guessing they have a hidden cookie somewhere on my PC so even if I did try it they might catch me. Would need a new PC (or purge my old one) and a new living location before I might consider doing it.

"just for rakeback"...if I can get 27% back...i don't think its a pittance...thats 27 dollars on every hundred, turns into real money fast in the long run

With rakeback accounts, you can't use your frequent player points right? Also, what is determined to be your contibution to the rake? Is it just the total rake per hand divided by the number of players, even if you don't play in the hand?
