Default Poker as a profession

Tom,
I play in alot of low stakes games because that is what I can afford. I read alot of poker books, including a few of yours, and I watch a ton of TV coverage. I still find that poker at the low stakes is an entirely different game than what I see on TV. The advice given in many books may be sound for higher limit games but in the lower limits it seems to me when five people are in every pot, it's very hard to put someone on a hand let alone know where you stand alot of the time. I am playing alot, studying the game and trying different styles of play. Being someone who has made it to the next level and beyond, how did you make the transition a successful pro player and how can others reach that goal?

I was just wondering which poker room is your favorite and what limits you play at? Good to have you on the site
