Unofficial Guide For New Members
First of all, I'd like to take this time to welcome you to
railbirds. I am sure you have a lot of questions, and anything
that this post doesn't answer, you are more than willing to post
a thread with your question. Or, chances are it has been asked
before, and before posting a thread, I would reccommend clicking
the 'search' tab on the top right. By searching, you will be
able to enter one word, and anything containing that word will
come up, or it could be a couple of words to narrow your search.
You are also welcome to join us railbirds in chat, if you'll
notice on the main page there is a "join chat" section, click
it, and most railbirds are in "Poker Talk Only" room. It is a
great way to get noticed, and learn the ropes of us railbirds.
We are getting new railbirds daily, which I am very excited
about; everyday however, people are asking for the password,
which will not be a question after you read this thread in its
entirety. Getting the password for our freerolls is simple, just
be active, trust me, this is not harder than it sounds. By being
active, I mean, posting blogs, posting/replying to threads that
have already been posted, posting videos, chatting, making
friends and adding them to your friend's list, and yes, even
updating your profile is considered being active. If you haven't
done so yet, please update your profile, it takes about 2
minutes to do, and people get to know more about who you are. If
you are wondering how to do so, if you notice at the very right,
you'll see an orange 'edit' button, click that and you are well
on your way to updating your profile. Please include what sites
you play at and your screen names there.
Another F.A.Q. is "When is the next Railbird Freeroll?". It
is easy to find, if you notice on the front page, you'll see
that it gives how many hours until the next tournament. A little
bit of math, and you're well informed. If you click on that link
where it gives how much time until the next tournament, it will
also tell you the entire month's schedule, where and when it
will be.
"How do I get to the tournament, I don't see it at all," is
another frequently asked question. If you click on the
"tournament" tab, and then click "private" it will be listed
under "Railbirds $200 Freeroll" or some tournaments are listed
as "$200 Railbird Ranking Tournament". Maybe not those EXACT
words, but pretty close to that.
You will recieve your password in your railbird mail, you
can always check your mail, or accept new friends by clicking
the appropriate link at the top right, right under your edit
button. The password is delivered about an hour before the
tournament starts. Asking for the password will only hinder your
ability toget it, so please, be patient and active, and you will
recieve it.
Again, I want to take this time to welcome you to railbirds,
I am sure we can help you with your game, as well as you can
with ours. We are not here to use your strategy against you,
only to support each other and help each other get to the top.
Please do not hesitate to ask anyone you may see for help. We
are here to help you. Enjoy!
