Default This actually helps me

Yes i have, in the past, downplayed other peoples poker skills and yes i do feel bad now. But it just felt like they deserved that after the dumb/stupid play that they just made. But for now on im going to try and present myself the best i can. Im going to make a blog about this actually.

Default Poker is one long game

Just remember, your image can be carried on and on. So poor attitude display can have a lasting impact on your poker career. Pulling off the a-hole character is more difficult than it looks. Instead of being seen as a fierce competitor and someone to feared, you will simply be deleted from invite lists.

What I find uncomfortable is this
Say I win a decnt pot with a good and someone who was not in the pot says "NH", even though I know it was I don't want to gloat on it by saying "TY" unless it's the person who was in the pot and lost

I'm with you... players not in the hand should not congratulate you for winning someone else's chips, unless the loser does so first.

thats ridiculous, if you win a hand and someone congratulates you, its bad etiquette? thats like an announcer in tennis saying that someone made a great shot to win the match, they werent in the match, if it was a good play it was a good play, period. sometimes congratulations are in order no matter who from

Ditto Atimack!! It's only good manners to say Cangrats to the winner of a hand! You can also use it sarcastically, Like when someone bet's $10K with a $100 pot! Say "nice bet! Got yourself a monster pot!! Congrats to you!"

AND to tbdbitl:
If you had been at a live table, you would have been asked to leave!
