Earlier today a guy made a horrific pre-flop all in call and got lucky on the river to knock me from the tournament. I simply typed "gg" and walked away from the table... I think more people should do this. I made a post about it on my blog - no matter what you think of a persons play... they made the play and the cards came as they did. All the yelling and complaining in the world can't change that.

As for everything else I couldn't agree with you more Viper, but also I have to say heckling goes for people you eliminate as well. If you eliminate them they are already in a bad mood without you calling them a donkey and insulting them as they walk off, just say gg and let them leave in peace.

Yeah. People like this make it SO much fun to play poker online. It's a good thing most people like this do not have a real money account, so you don't see them at ring games and S$G's.

Back on topic..
Very nice thread Viper. It's just too bad that there are people who just sit and talk crap the whole time. Had one in the Stud FR yesterday. Just WOULDN'T shut up. It is something that you have to deal with though. I may have been guilty of some unneccessary table talk before, but I don't make it part of my game.
Play the hand, not the people =)

I have been guilty of a few comments that were out of line. Sometimes it just crawls when someone plays poorly and sucks out big time on ya then suggest maybe I played the hand wrong. Example:

QQ medium raise UTG and button re raises 10 times my raise. Flop is J74 and I bet the pot and the button raises me all-in. I think for a few minutes and decide he has hit top pair at best and call for all my chips. He shows K10 os with no pair. No Straght Draw and no Flush Draw. Yup, 5 on the turn and K on the river.

He comments "Slow play them again". I would have given anything to be in a live tournament with him. SO yes, I shared a very descriptive view of his play and comment. Forgive Me

dont tap the aquarium is great advice why would you want the FISH getting better then taking your money off you.

i am sometimes guitly of letting my emotions get the better of me and going on a little rant but more often than not i will type gg and gl when i get put out.

just treat the other players with respect because the bottom line is they have paid thier money or entered the tourney the same as you and it is completley up to the individual how he plays those chips ( if he wants to call with only 2 outs then let him) and be safe in the knowledge if you were to be in the same hand with the same player 100 times you would win 90 of those hands

I agree. Poker is a sport and so people must conduct themselves in a sportman like manner.

I love this, great advice too bad they don't make this mandatory on sites. After reading one particular reply to this want to say if you read ViperHawks post and still didn't get it please read again.
