How can we make the forum better?

thanks for havin me here. i was wondering about the find a friend, searching railbirds, but when i put in the catagories i can only get he top 30 people, unless do i not know how to use the search correctly? i met some people the other night and i forgot to ask them to be my friend and im having a hard time finding them becuase my searches only give me 30 people, r there other pages to the search? or is it just me that cant figure it out? lol

The sites already great, but here's an idea - although I don't know how easy it would be to implement it.

Since we've been experiencing so much trouble with poker sites going down, it would be great if on our frontpage there was a "These sites are currently up/down" section. I don't know the programing though that would make that be easy.

Also, It would be nice if there was a link or something to sites that accept US players.

This is a great site with a lot of good info provided by its users and staff through BLOGS and videos. This are quickly lost because of the push-down nature of the additions. Although I enjoy reading the terse and "not-so-informative" stuff, it would really be neat to have a function that allows the really good blogs and videos to rise to the top. I would suggest something like YouTube in which readers rate the blogs and videos and then have a fcn that is read highest rated, most read, etc.

Also, a link on the front page about the history of the site and a "WHO's WHo on Railbirds" would be neat...b0w

How about an auto-refresh of the frontpage every couple minutes. I don't even know if that's possible, but I like having it open and seeing the updated blogs and forum posts, but I forget to click refresh and often miss a bunch. Yeah, I'm lazy, but it would be cool nonetheless.

I am not sure if you all ready have this, if so can someone please tell me how to find where it is, but personalized signatures that are displayed at the end of every post that a user makes.

We need a scroll lock in the chat rooms! With so many people in there at once, it's hard to keep up with everyone.

We won't be adding signatures, as we feel that they disturb the reading experience.
