Default I called

I must admit I called, but as I'm not a poker god or anything I was more looking for damage limitation. To me I would also need to know where abouts in the game were at, first few hand or somewhere in the middle. Where I am in the game makes a difference on what I might call and what I might raise. Hope this makes some sense, and I'm sure someone might make the point a little better than me.

how much do i have behind?
and how much does he have?

if i have less or the same amount left to play with as him, i would call,
if i have more money (3:2 and more) than he has (but he has at least 30$ or more) i would raise,
if he has like 10-20$ left i would call

but calling is generally the right play here imo, depending on how strong the tell is, and how often u were spot on with that tell in the past
------------
i remember 3 guys i played, two of them were drunk, the third guy got a cold deck and doubled one of his drunk mates up.
one of the drunk guys started chewing when he hit the board well,
the other guy was getting extremely agressive when on a bluff, and pretty agressive with the nuts but also shaking like mad with his legs...
and i just sat there and praised god for these idiots, i robbed them so fast, my plays just relying on the tells

so yeah, if the tell is that strong u can make any move, but if im not sure or i believe he caught up on it and is able to fake it i would just call

Thumbs up

Call is the correct play, you dont want to raise here, the only thing that can call you would have you beat, and your hand is really weak. Your only calling based on your read!

i went with raise, if i should of folded don't tell me i know my opp well and that i'm pretty sure i've got the best hand. opp has to do something to scare me away, i probably should just call but if i know this guys moves and i'm pretty sure i'm raising.

Simply put , no reason to raise. (See Slansky) Its only gonna be called if your beat. And what if your raise isreraised? Now where are you?

Default easy answer

Of course you are going to call. There is no reason to raise because there is hardly any money in the pot so there is no reason to put your self into harm. When you call, you probably are going to win this hand.

TAke everything into consideration. Calling allows you to win if he has relatively nothing. Raiseing may let you steal a pot but if he has the j or k he will probably call making you lose more. Other scenerio you raise and even if he has nothing he could reraise you at the event you would have to fold. Call cut your losses if you lose and take the small pot if you win.
