I don't really like raising with AA58 in PLO8 either. The A-5 is going to need a very lucky flop to have a shot at the low and the hand, as you've rightly stated, isn't especially strong for the high. Even in Omaha hi/lo, this one is still a limp.

Too many people over play pocket AAxx in PLO and that's the wrong thing to do. Obviously you shouldn't fold this hand right away, pocket As is the best pair to start with. With that said, you can't raise with this sort of hand because, as said early, you only have a pocket pair and no redraw. The best you can hope for with your hand is a flop of A blank blank rainbow or 7 6 4 rainbow, both are unlikely. Remember, Omaha is similar and yet so much different from hold'em... lose the hard on for your As!!!

playing omaha a little im not great but with the aces you want to get more people out of the hand so a raise here will help you do that. but a pot raise will make it a two or three handed game with aces you are a head preflop and in postion to bet out frist come you need to make a move thats why you are short stack so go for it right.

playing pkt aces here isn't bad at all. everyone says it's not a good hand in omaha but it's better than most. I would raise and try to buy out the weaker stacks and try to get one person heads up... your hand is usually better HU besides don't all the poker pros say basically raise or fold but don't be a calling station. and for those that don't like the hand FOLD it don't call and waste your money just to fold on the turn

i notice that on a lot of quizzes, you don't say, correct! is it because i don't get those ones right, or is it because there is more than one choice and not one in particular that's 100% right. is it that i get a lot of them wrong?

Seems to me that with the A's and 5-8 suited that a small amount of pot building would be favorable for you. A min-raise won't get playable hands to fold - and thats what we want. Suppose you do spike the A - then you would have wished you had more in the pot. If you don't catch the A or high diamonds, you can check/fold and you've lost hardly anything. A-A is not nearly as strong as in Hold em, but its still a good hand.

This is my last comment ever on one of these quizzes dont know why I always feel the need... Anyways I am now finding myself not answering the correct play but figuring out how I would play if I was stupid, and thats when I get them right. These quizes should be banned.
