well, i chose fold. i am i tighter payer than most. having said that the quizzy basically dismisses my fold as though im an idiot. he writes that there are 13 outs which i find laughable. what is the TIGHT sb on? he reraised preflop and bet the flop. AK or a good
pair im sure. remember, quizzy set up this scenario the other day. tight is the table! he assumes that the 9 and J are outs. i dissagree. you still might be beat. so you are calling a gutshot straight draw.

I like the idea of a scare card coming on the turn

i fold; pot odds are an over think when your hand is a weak one.

Folding is not completely wrong. If you're playing at a tight table and someone keeps popping it (increasing the bet) then you know you're behind or beat. Calling is completely wrong. If you call you gain no information what so ever. Your opponent could have AK, AQ, a big pair, a set, nothing... you won't know. If you raise your opponent will either call, raise, or fold in each case giving you information. If he/she folds then you've won the pot and you learn that he/she either didn't hit the flop and is playing ultra tight or he/she was just trying to play back at you. If he/she calls you can say with reasonable assurance that the opponent has a drawing hand or over cards, like AK. If he/she raises then you know your opponent has a big pair, a set, or a monster draw of some kind. I personally went with folding since I like to play tight in limit games and I disagree that it's completely wrong. I will admit it is the weaker of the two possible options, but I'll wait to get my money in good rather than bully around at a tight table with an opponent who is showing at least modest strength against my garbage hand.

To sum that up: Folding = weak, but in no way completely wrong. Calling = absolutely 150% wrong. Raise = a strong move to possibly win the pot and at the very least acquire some information about your opponent and where he/she is at in the hand.

I would raise here, but that doesnt make it the correct play, it gives you a good chance at winning the pot, but you cant really stay in the hand if you get reraised so you cant say folding is wrong as you probably are beat. Only play I hate there is a call.

Pot odds are 8 to 1. I calculated it on cardplayers the chance the J-9 will win Against 8-8 which would give them Set of 8s which is 18.09% which is better then 8-1 odds. Against Aces or Kings you have a 23.74% chance to win which is a little over a 2-7 shot. A-K dimonds is a 24.14% chance to win.

Mathamaticaly it is a good enough play, and around a tight table If the guy/gal you are playing has Kings or a set of 8s and he/she is very tight then they won't fold no matter what you do.

It seems like opponent is bluffing, not hit with something like AK or AQ. My choose was call, because i want to see will he fire another bullet if on board comes like from 2 to 8. If he fires when, its likely, that he migh have a overpair.
