yeah, I got it correct. You don't wanna be overly aggressive in this spot -the buy failed but the hand is still a playable hand (depending, of course, on the flop).

Good luck on the tables! :Kh:

My fault.
This is my error also .... glad I wasn't the only one!

Of course I'm calling one more bet in a limit game in position!

Its a "Tight Table". The only thing that will happen to your image is that they will think you also are playing "tight". The others can imagine u have KQ; and reraise has A with any card.

Although im labled a "novice", it seems like u would be needing to call $2 more than what u raised with: $4. So, all in all Jack 9 is not a completly bad hand to be playing with when it is only $2 more to call; its only u and the sB. Plus, u have 1/3 chance of pairing ur Jack or 9. Thus, after the flop comes the decision whether or not to continue playing ur hand.

For u nay sayers, o well, lets just say i like J8 better.

*Vital info: it's a Limit Game.

Default It's LIMIT....Quizy

I've seen this comment in a couple of replies about implied odds. What implied odds? Mid connectors rarely get paid off well heads up in a limit game. Come on folks. You cannot play J 9 off the same in limit as in no limit. You have pot odds to call the reraise if you want here. Me I'm folding. But first lets evaluate quizies play.

SB limp and your raising to steal is foolish at best. Total lack of poker IQ. Stealing? It's limit. He's got 3-1 on pot odds to call and your hand plays marginally post flop at best and can be easily dominated. Lots of folks with a monster in the SB uncalled will limp to get some postflop action. So that reraise from SB is screaming I'm huge!!! Fold is the correct play. But you gave up table image with that preflop raise to begin with Quizy. Can't get it back by calling his reraise to save face now.

Lastly for those not understanding implied odds and limit poker. Implied odds in limit are created by multiple callers. You get 4 runners to the flop and mid connectors become alot more appealling. Have a couple of aggressive players who raise everything and you then have a recipe for implied odds gold at a limit table.
