i also think the answer from railbirds its wrong, i had to flop a monsterflop to win this hand, as it also say in the quest, " a tight table" so a reraise from sb points on monster hand, i think a fold from my side makes me a winner at the end of the day...=)

I think the initial raise is good here with a tight table...someone else laughed at the notion of stealing the blinds in a limit game, but if the table is tight and the blinds have shown the ability to fold, I'm perfectly happy to take a shot.

J9o isn't a premium hand, and I'm not thrilled about the reraise from the small blind, but quizzy is actually correct this time...you DO have the odds...and of top of that, you have POSITION.

I can still take this pot away from the small blind if he's reraising me with AK, or quite possibly if he's playing something like QQ and an A or a K comes. Combined with the possibility of catching a good flop, I'll certainly want to take a look. How I play from the flop on depends on too many factors to go into here, but it's certainly worth a look.

Default speaking of odds

Just to clarify the whole "you have the pot odds" thing...

You raised, making it 2 units; the small blind raised it up to 3 units, the big blind folded his 1...so there are 6 units in the pot and it costs you 1 unit to call. The pot is laying you 6 to 1.

Even if you tried to steal with 72o and the small blind reraised with AA, you are only a little more than a 4 to 1 underdog. So this is an automatic call, regardless of what cards you hold...having position on the flop tilts it even more in your favor.

If you were going to lay this down in a limit game to a reraise, you shouldn't make the move in the first place. You're giving up way too much!

I got that call correct. I picked call because two of us played. Then I would see what would be on the flop.

For my part I'd call to see the flop just because I don't want to appear weak because the first time you get caught bluffing it's an uphill battle. Folding after the flop is then a judgement call. Then again there are those who will try to take it all the way on nothing. That's part of the problem with playing the net, harder to judge your opponent's play.

versus tights players 9jo no chance .
I fold immediatly , too many risks you have 1/3 chance to find your cards on the flop , he will probably make a continuation bet if you have nothing you are in a bad position .and even if you find your jack you are not sure to have a better hand (maybe he have a (big) pocket pair or AK and seek his pair on the turn and on the river.)
wait a better moment

sorry for my english

In a NL game this would be a fold. In a limit game, easy call 100% of the time even if I know my opponent had pocket As.
