the only problem with raising is if you are calculating your percentage of rounds of the table and maximize profit. If you have made thisplay already then it may not be a solid move Raising here is 2 BB atleast. thats not saying one of the random hands wont get wise to your blind stealing and come back over the top. Calling your hand down to the river with a check call check raise taking over 5 BB's from you at the least. Even if its a tight table YOU DO NOT WANT TO SHOW YOUR HAND HERE. Whether that means check mucking or auto mucking you cant show your hand if the table is tight they will pick up on ur stealign and call you with marginal hands more often

Yes I agree raising at a tight table as the button is probably a correct move. However, there is a couple of major considerations that have been left out.

1. Is this a tight/aggressive table or a tight/passive table.

2. How many pots have you won in the past without showing your cards. If there have been a couple and considering how observant the blinds are you are apt to get called or re-raised. Number is dependent on attitude of the blinds.

3. You can only get away with this a couple of times.

4. I do not care how tight the table is, I would only raise if thought that my hand had a chance to win against a random hand.

5 You have a better chance to pull this off at a higher stakes table against better players who are capable of laying a marginal hand down.

Who writes these things anyway?? They must not play poker. I picked raise and was correct but the reasoning behind why they said correct is silly. For one thing its limit, your most likely not gonna steal a blind at limit, second thing, who ever heard of trying to steal blinds in a cash game, lol. This isnt a tourny where stealing blinds might be important. You never make an attempt to just steal blinds in a cash game.
