I think i remember seeing this hand play out on TV Phil had floped the flush vs the mouth( he did he usual blow up and fired away going bust and leaving the table after the hand)
So if you wanna be like the Mouth raise here =)
but check-call if the odds are right and you dont think he has a made hand already or check-fold is prob your best play here.
Keep the pot small until you have something.

Again, why is the bet out option so large? In this situation I bet out a little less than half the pot, giving me odds on my draw. Your defense is that the check raise on the flop would have put in the same amount, and put out good players more often. My response? By betting out, you're building the pot, along with being able to give yourself proper odds on a draw.

Default This is how Mouth plays

Mike is not shy about firing bets out there. if he raises preflop and raises after flop...then he's guaranteed to raise 1 more time. He likes to hang himself. The correct answer should be D..bet $10K That's what the mouth would do.

Default answer should be d if we are suppose to be MIKE

I agree mike is hyper aggressive and is gonna fire at phil laak cus he perceives him as weak. So the correct answer should definately be d. I thought about it and after betting the flop and getting a call and his preflop raise i am putting laak on ak or higher pocket pairs maybe even 1 being a diamond i bet 10,000 and if he raises i rethink and maybe even fold but i aint checking after betting the flop into his preflop raise. The most I lose is another 10,000 unless a diamond comes up and i cant get away from it

Default quizzy is so wrong

quizzy almost always decides to take the exact opposite action than he should. aggressive when he should be passive and passive when he should be aggressive.

The answer makes no sense. They did not call unless they had a decent connection, maybe a week flush already. A check rasie spells disaster. You have to bet here, if they have a small flush they will just call to keep you in the hand. If they have a weak flush and you check, they will bet agressively to get you off your flush draw or to get you off your set, 2 pair, etc...

If you check rasise and they have the nut flush then they are coming back over the top.

So, your choices for us are bad. We needed a $4k choice for a probe bet, not a $10k choice that someone can crack.

Default Mike's Aggression

Well I agree about the probe bet... This is a dangerous situation. Mike's aggression is an advantage most of the time, but he has an almost 'super bully' type nature that gets him into trouble and busts him. But otherwise you can't fault his overall success.

Default What did the 2 spades do for us here,

Ok, we bet the flop, and now when the almighty duece of spades hits the board we are going to check-raise? I don't get it.
I think we end up committing more chips here than neccesary, and Phil may have already flopped the flush. We don't have excessive firepower with the 9 being our diamond. Even if we catch the flush, we may be in trouble.

Sorry guys I dont care how anyone plays, if your going to say any play is right after the move you made on the flop, the right play is to at least take a stab at the pot, you should never make it easy on your opponent, maybe you can bet half the pot but as there was only once bet choice that is the right move, especially against a below average cash game player like Phil Laak.
