Default Fold

I fold because aside from J2, 10-5 is one of my least facvorite hands.

I would throw this away instead of checking it in the big blind if I could.

I once heard someone say they actually loved playing 10-5 because "you need one of the two cards to make a straight..." YEAH...and 4 more

I had never looked at it that way before. On line, I just don't see too many 5/10 downs hit.

But, in live poker, I was pleasantly surprised to see the 10/5 theory fly. Also, A/5 had the same philsophy.

However, to invest 30Xs the BB on it....well....I feel a lump in my throat coming on.

You need 4 specific cards out of the five dealt up to make that straight. Poppycock I say.

I was recently in this situation,I raised correctly here.but im usually the tight agg. This nut raised everything and I had about 3500 he had 8000,After half hour of battle I caught up and passed him by the time we both got moved.Im very good heads-up.I will nail you most of the time, this really helps in last table situations too.

Default I'm all about the raise

I love the raise with 10-5. Maybe my earlier comments were misunderstood. It's the 30 TIMES THE BIG BLIND that I'm not gonna do with a 10-5.

I can't think of a hand that I wouldn't raise with in a heads-up situation. And I try to usually raise the same amount, 3times the big blind. Occasionally, I will mix it up with a call or a minimum raise, or even an all-in if the blinds are high, and I will do this will almost any two cards in a heads-up situation.

What I won't do, is bet 30 times the BB with a 10-5.

Thumbs up got it

i didn't ponder this one, just went with my gut and it only took seconds. heads up is fun as far as i'm concerned, but i wouldn't like it all the time.

I chose to fold. This is considered to be average? What is a below average hand? I would think that 2 7 is the worst followed by 8 3, 2 6, 9 4 and maybe 10 5? Is it average as it is a mighty 10 high? 9 8 is almost a coinflip against us, even 6 7 is nearing a coinflip, I let it go and try to play an average hand that is a bit better then this one.
