Why should it make any difference if it's against a pro or against some random in a cash game? If it were some random sitting there he would've flopped a set too, just happens to be a pro. And why in gods name would a pro call such a large raise pre-flop with 3's? sounds more like a donkey sitting there, not a well known pro.

i would have pushed way harder than that preflop. that was a weak re-raise. with AA you want to win the hand as soon as possible so something like that doesnt happen

When you have aces and there's a flop with a 3 5 10 rainbow there is nothing out there that is scary. the only thing he could've floped is a set, two pair, a pair, or a str8 draw. With a raise pre-flop pockets is always a possibilty so it is possible to get away from the hand but I called when I took the quiz.

A well known pro is the key. Pros don't go all-in without something unless you haven't gained their respect. Folding was easy to pick. Aces are the best going in with 2 cards after that things like sets can happen and do.
I got it correct.

Good luck on the tables!

Im calling as well
Though I would have pushed harder earlier
Also the pro could make the same play with KK QQ
Especially seeing we have been raising only small amounts

Default daily quiz

How many times have we all seen pocket AA lose on the river? Even if the pro only has 1 pair. He may have several outs.

I don't think the pro calling in that spot pre-flop was a bad play. Firstly, he has position on you. The part I could possibly be critical of is actually the pro pushing all-in when he did. He has to think that he's got you beat, so why not flat call for the the last 400.

But, if an Ace hits on the turn or river, then that could be seen as a bad play by the pro.

That's what makes poker such an interesting game. Sometimes you look like a fool when making the right play.

I disagree with eTiger13's comment about a weak re-raise. It's a standard re-raise so that it disguises the strength of your hand. You could be doing that with suited connectors, like 89 or something like that.

If you shove with AA in that spot, you're taking away your chance to win a big pot, BUT still have a way out if you feel you're beat.

That's what makes this game so much fun, but so painful sometimes.

Default 33% stack committed

that last re raise put you at over 1/3 stack committed to the pot. the all-in by the pro was a result of smelling your weak play and using it against you. by the time you become that committed in chips and you are still unwilling to push, you tell your opponent that you aren't sure of your hand. you dug the hole and the pro threw the dirt in on you. being all-in first would have given him pause. tight-aggressive is the way the pros play. its quite apparent by the texture of the quizes on here you are weak-passive.
