they say to bet at the pot on the river even when he has called the entire way and then checked it back to you on the river. Lets think about this choice, the pot is of decent size and with him calling the entire way down even if he did have the flush draw it is A high, now with two pair he is calling the river for sure, but AK could have been slowed or even a hand like JJ or TT there so the river bet will be called. Why give them anymore money then they are already getting?

I disagree I would bet half the pot hoping that he would think there was something fishy. I he was on a draw and it did not come he will fold. If he did have something and was slow playing he might think twice about calling if he thinks I am saying come on call me.

no hes not smoking crack or any other type of substance.

if you dont bet the river in this spot how do you know that your oppenent wont fold a hand like jq of spades?? it is definitely the correct play.

we should bet pot on the river so that draws don't have the right odds to call, obviously! quizmaster is right. Half pot is for losers

Default half pot for sure

if he will fold for pot he will fold for half pot...

what could he have that he will call half pot but not pot ?

the pot is pretty big by now... a potsize bet is prolly a good 3/4 or all of your stack lol

i dont think id risk it with another big bluff again... half pot is exact same bet amount as turn bet... so if he missed flush draw he will still fold...
first off i wouldnt have raised flop / turn with lower than low pair haha

You can not call if they raise back, so only a check works here. IMHO, if you weak bet their river check they will look-you up with a decent re-rasie. Save some money and check it down.

The only hands you are beating right now is 2-2 or 2-3.
Check should be called muck here, you're giving all that money over.
Its time to steal the pot by betting on the odds your opponent will be afraid of the King.

I think that he might have 5, and I agree with the quiz master. Betting the pot might not be enough, but risking more would be reckless.

check on the river is just such a weak move. I would be terrified of betting any money into a kings full hand. If he really had missed his draw, why would he not have taken a stab at it on the river?

Check here, see what he has, and use that information to get his money with a better hand.
