Default Freerolls seem to make me crazy.

Is it just me or do a lot of people get crazy playing a freeroll? i just lost everything after being in the top 10 with less than 700 people left out of the original 2700. in the end i busted out on pocket 9's while my opponent had aces. sometimes even when i know im beat, i go for it. does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can play better? by the way, im playing the full tilt freerolls. poker stars doesnt work for me unfortunately

Learn to know your opponents, only play A-hands in position and bluf against tight players... And if ya know you're beat: FOLD! After a second reraise your pocket 9's aren't that strong anymore...

freerolls equal crazy play early....if you know your beat, why do you call/play? You should be getting proper odds to set mine or try to suck-out....

See for me its normally the exact opposite. Lately i've been finishing on the bubble basically..i always manage to last until about 60-100 players are left, and when i have made it this far, i am generally in the top 10-20 in chips. I just continue to play solid poker and end up losing a hand, or getting a bad beat, which puts me on tilt and i lose out..frustrates me more than you know. But in freerolls just play quality hands, buy the blinds when the opportunity presents itself, and do not force anything. Good luck in the future.

It makes me even more mad because they get so tough to win bc there are so many people.

Play Quality hands, wait for a spot and play it as if it was a real tournament. Not only will it increase your chances at winning at the freeroll, it'll help a bit when you win your first $15 and play in the real games.

Cool tru tru

yea i usually end up making it down to the last 50 or so people in my freerolls then i slowly get bad beats and crappy cards. Plus people get crazy and start goin all in like theres no tommorrow... they act like their crackheads and theres a crack rock in the middle of the table and they gotta jump into the pot... Everybody gets loooooose towards the end to get to the final table...but ya gotta do what u gotta do i guess
