i dont think u made any mistakes, i would not have folded preflop, and i would not have shoved all in, in fact i would have played it the same way all along, ive seen these tings happen at titanpoker at the 0.10$ to 2$ sng's a lot, and i lost a lot in such beats.

all u can really do is keep playing solid poker, cause they say that in the long run u will win these situations (ive not seen it happen in my case, but still)

-----------------------------------------------------

today i got this beat:

i got 10,10 on the button everyone folded i raised 3 times the bb, a guy (whom i identified as bad player, making really bad calls, never folding) called me from the sb, bb folds

flop came 2,4,8 rainbow

he bets out the pot size, i put him at this point on small suited connectors someting like 4,6 ; or 9,8
cause of his previous bad moves i pushed all in (someting like pot size raise) hoping to get a call,
he calls and shows 2c7c

on the turn no help for either one of us,
on the river: 2d

by the way... i think the only think that might hepl is to deposit a buch of dollars like 300$ and play the 5$ sngs, thats what i will do now, i hope there u get less bad calls... and therefore maby less bad beats

...and: what also kinda works is playing extremely tight until level 50/100, and ull see that all the donks will coinflip each other out of the way, wich leave u with maby half or less of the starting field left, and then u can start playing, still avoiding coinflips

i agree with thenutshere. u werent aggresive enough sincu u called pre-flop instead of raising. as soon as that 375 or watever raise came u should of pushed all-in. but still bad luck gets all of us sometimes

OUCH!
You should have pushed pre, but they would have called anyways. Just BAD beat.

1% bad beat
99% absolute mug of an opponent.

Ive actually decided to quit the game as of today (just cashed out all funds in all poker accounts). Not down to the bad cards the poker gods can dish out, but simply because i cant take losing to complete mugs who push all in with nothing and get rewarded accordingly for their bad play.
I tried playing higher stakes to eleminate some of the bad players but they're everywhere...and unfortunately there arent any books telling you how to deal with people who fall in shit and come up smelling of roses.

Well thats my rant.

Im off to take up tennis...good luck to you guys and gals...you're gonna need it!

I don't know how fair online poker truly is. It is hard to tell whether the unlickiness appears because of the larger quantity of hands played or if the system actually manipulates the hands to make you play more out of frustration.

Red face

i don't know about that calc thing, but if it where the right thing to use everyone would have one at the main tables, sooooo i don't thik sooo!! you need to know how to figure your odds and know the percentages, like the big guys. ofcourse you could use it as a crouch, lol, but i guess as a learning tool. until you can figure it on your own. i don't mean to sound to harsh, but i'm old school, and the cards can be mystical: charm you or curse you. and you saw first hand it's not 100%, this gadget, so try on your own to figure the percentages and odds, you'll be better off. if i misunderstood you i'm sorry. believe me if you won all the time; #1. noone would play with you,#2.you'd eventually lose interest. #3. the rush would be gone. #4.the challenge and the learning from your losses would be gone. hope you do better next time, gl at the tables.
