Default You think this is a bad beat?

Ok, so I just got put out of a $200 freeroll tournment on FullTilt, and feel as if i need to punch the computer for the hand i got put out on.

I was doing pretty well, at 6000 chips and hadnt changed tables. I finally changed tables and the very first hand at the new table, this happened...

Cards were dealt, and i got dealt a 5 2, which by the way, is my favourite hand, and so thats what endiced me to call with this hand. Big blind checked and the cards flipped

Flop came - 2 K 2

I checked, trying to set a trap, but he wouldnt have it, and checked also

Turn came - Q

I checked once more, and he bet the size of the pot, which was about 300
I raised him to 1200, and he thought about it and raised me all-in. Of course, i called

Cards flipped and he had Q 5

River came - Q

Thus giving him a higher full house and put me out of the tournment on a 2 outer on the river.

Now yes, i know it was a sketchy call for me with a low kicker, but i made the right decision and he sucked out..

Just thought id share this bad beat with ya

First of all, that sucks. Sympathy time over. He was the preflop favorite though, the math just evened out in an uneven math kind of way... get it? hahaha. No that really does suck but such is the danger of slow playing.

I also like playing 5 2 suited (Its my second favorite hand). Yes it is a bad beat and slow playing can kill.

that's the risk you run by slowplaying a hand like this. that's the exact situation you wanted - he hit a hand that he was willing to put his money in with. it just happens that they suck out sometimes.

How can 10 2 be a favorite hand? idk ask Doyle Brunson... Maybe because he won two WSOP bracelets with it. Not saying that I won two WSOP bracelets with 5 2, but I like playing it(depending on the situation). Because its a favorite hand doesn't mean I'm going to go all in with it pre-flop or something its just a hand that has some sort of significance and will be played once in a while.

first of all, calling with 5 2 isnt a smart decision
i know is your favorite hand but anyway, if you want to play
that hand , raise it and steal blinds, other way no.

But i think that is a bad beat anyway, cause only with runner runner Q can win the pot, so yes, its a bad beat, kinda weird, but it is.

you both played terribly. stay in the freerolls because you'll never make any real money playing that badly.
