You're heads-up in an EPT tournament. Congratulations, well played! Your opponent is a good player, known for his tight image but may very well make big bluffs as well - such as when, a few hands ago, he went all-in with 72.

You called pre-flop on the button. The flop came TSpades 7Hearts 2Spades. Your opponent checked and so did you.

The turn card was the 2Diamonds. Your opponent checked, you bet 50k (slightly more than pot) and got called.

The river brought the 3Diamonds, the final card, and you suddenly face a bet of 80k which you choose to reraise to 220k. Your opponent goes all-in for 1.6 million chips. You had 2.5 million before this hand started. Should you make the call?

No, fold (correct)
You do have three of a kind, but seriously, what's your opponent supposed to have? He bets and you raise for value... you're either beaten by a full house or facing a big bluff. Your opponent hasn't got two pairs, he doesn't have a high pocket pair, not three of a kind... he'd call with all of those hands. It's a bluff or a great hand.

But how often will your opponent bluff for his tournament life in this situation? Not very often, it's definitely not +EV in the long run. Fold - you still have a chip lead and should risk putting yourself at a 3:1 disadvantage.

Sure - he could be bluffing. But he isn't often enough.
