You get (T 9) 8 as your starting hand in seven card stud. It's a $15-$30 game with a $5 bring-in and $1 antes.

There are seven players at the table. The 2 makes the bring-in, being the lowest card. To the left of you are, in order, players with K, 4, 6, A and Q showing. It's your turn. What do you do?





Fold
A good but somewhat speculative starting hand. Of course you want to play it, and you likely won't win the (small) pot by raising. Nobody is going to be threatened by an eight showing. So neither fold nor raise - I guess you'll have to call, then. :)

This is a hand that benefits from having lots of opponents in the pot, so let's call and invite them over for the party.
