Really a great idea, amazing it has taken so long to for someone to actually talk about this.

But there is some minor issues. For us (I Eats) as you might know we have our own in house series over the year so to have clan battle every week would be way to much for us to handle. So say like every 2/3 weeks we could do that for sure. Another issue is what do we do about all these clans that pop up over night and disapear as quick as they start.

Do we put on cap on what clans can join in the clan ranking battles or can any new clan join at anytime?

The other issue is who will look after all these standings, schedule and all the other matters that will araise?

Other then that I don't see why this can't work and I think people will really enjoy it, if someone makes it happen.

I have also thought about this before the Holidays, but a few things prevented me from saying anything. The main one being is that there are so many private tournaments lately that it's hard to find a time when there isn't a conflict with regularly scheduled games. I think if it's done it would have to be something that was planned well in advance so that everyone could prepare for them (some don't have big bankrolls).

As far as some clans being bigger and some not, I think with proper preperation everyone could have a great turnout. There's no way to say that only x players can play because every clan member has the right to play and favortisum between top players and other players shouldn't be done.

Just a few of my thoughts.

I think this is a good idea... sounds like fun. I think with some organization it could definitely be pulled off.

I would be willing to keep up with the standings and schedule the tourneys. And the timing I would like it to be in the spring to summer. It would probably be a long time to go through all the clans to play eachother. And Legos what your saying about the clans that come as fast as they go, we could just notify all the leaders and let them decide if there team will play, and once the season starts thats it, no more clans

As for new and disappearing clans, maybe a rule that the clan has to heave been around for x amount of time or something like that?

I'd be willing to help you out some with keeping track of everything, just couldn't do it full time with 4 kids. And I'm sure there are others who will help.

What a FREAKING FANTASTIC idea!! However, to repeat what legos has already stated, the I Eat's have 1-3 scheduled Tournaments every month, already scheduled throughout the '08 year, so we definitely would not want to have conflicting schedules....as nothing personal, the I Eat Tournie comes first.

Second, are we talking a free-for-all, all of 1 clan vs all of another clan...or are we talking 9 versus 9, or something like that?

were are talking 1clan vs. 1clan. I will check the FTP schedule before scheduling any tourneys. Also, It is no longer going to be everyweek, I will schedule the tourneys for ever two weeks.

I understand your question better now, it is all members invited from each participating clan. If your leader doesn't get you the password, then I am sorry. I will pm the passwords well in advance to each clan leader. If you don't have the buy in, either find it in the seat cushion, or start freerolling.
