Music Players have now been totally banned from Railbirds.com due to security issues. So now I just have the weblink below. It will open a new window with my music player in it.
THE LINK BELOW HAS NO JAVA EXCEPT THAT INSTALLED BY THE RAILBIRDS SITE ITSELF THROUGH USE OF THE "ADD LINK" BUTTON THAT IS ON ANY "EDIT MY PAGE" OR "WRITE BLOG" PAGE ON THE SITE. ALL IT IS IS A WEBLINK THAT OPENS A NEW TAB IN YOUR BROWSER BY USING THE "TARGET" TAB IN THE "ADD LINK" WINDOW.
THE WINDOW THAT OPENS IS A FLASH MUSIC PLAYER BUT IS BASED ON ANOTHER WEBSITE ON THE INTERNET AND NONE OF THE FLASH OBJECTS ARE HERE ON THE RAILBIRDS SITE
BANDWIDTH ISSUES FOR THE RAILBIRDS SERVERS SHOULD NOT APPLY SINCE IT IS DISASSOCIATED FROM THE RAILBIRDS SITE AND ALL THE LINKS FROM THE PLAYER ITSELF GO ELSEWHERE IN THE WEB......NOT RAILBIRDS
Here is the whole web address that is under the link below: www.myplaylist.org/mc/mp3player-othersite.swf?config=
http://www.myplaylist.org/mc/config/config_black_noautostart_shuffle.xml
&mywidth=435&myheight=270&playlist_url=
http://www.myplaylist.org/loadplaylist.php?playlist=17191270
My Music Player is NOT on autoplay. It is on shuffle play however.
Just press the play ">" arrow in the left corner of the player and the music will start in shuffle play.
LISTEN TO MY MUSIC - Favorites Set 1
LISTEN TO MY MUSIC - Favorites Set 2
LISTEN TO MY MUSIC - Favorites Set 3
The new browser window or tab that opens is fully functional and resizeable. That is so that if you hit the "+ADD" button next to a song to add any of the songs in that playlist to your own playlist you navigate in the window to add the track to your own playerlist.
To have the same "Listen To My Music" button on your own profile page with your own music player just do the following.
- Create your "my account" page at http://www.playlist.com/ and choose the songs you want to have in your music player.
- At the top of your page on project playlist click on the "my playlists" link.
- If you have more than one playlist in the screen that opens select the playlist you want.
- Once you are on a playlist page with the player showing (and playing if you so choose) note/write down the 8 digit number that is at the end of the web address in the web address window of your web browser.
- Now return to Railbirds.
- Navigate to my page or return to this blog.
- Highlight and then right click and copy one of the red "Listen To My Music - Favorites" links just above these directions.
- Go to your own page and click on the "edit this page" button.
- Find where you want to post the "Listen To My Music" button/link and right click and paste it there (or ctrl & V).
- Now all you have to do is change the link so that it opens YOUR player and not mine.
- In your "edit my page" window insert your cursor into the middle of the red "Listen To My Music - Favorites" link and change the words of the link to whatever you like "My Music" or "All Rock All The Time" for example.
- Now highlight the link you just changed the spelling of and click the "paperclip" in the edit bar at the top of the editing window on your "edit my page".
- In the window that opens go to the "URL" field.
- Insert your cursor into the field, do not delete it, and using the right arrow button on your keyboard move the cursor to the right and go to the very end of the long address that is there.
- At the end of the address is an 8 digit number.
- Delete that 8 digit number (thats one of my playlist numbers) and replace it with the one you noted from your own playlist.
- Now hit the "ok" button in that small window.
- Then hit the orange "Save Personal Data" button on your "edit my page" window.
TADA!! You should now have a button on your profile page that will launch your own music player in a new browser window or tab. It will be in shuffle mode without autostart.
