It's similar to poker. It's called PL Omaluck. Very similar to NL Luckem on speed.

First hour's over and there's barely over 25% of entrants left playing. What a joke. Might also be called PL Guessem.

A lot of people don't know how to play Omaha or some of the other less popular games. I can tell you that I never knew how to play Omaha, hated it actually, until I started playing them. You should remember that some people use freerolls, whether it be here or on site sponsered to learn the games and to help refine their skills.

There IS no skill or learning in maxing every round preflop to all-in. It's not that Omaha isn't a fun game when it is played, but not when it's left 100% in the hands of Lady Luck draws.

Pot Limit is just another way to get more multi-hand rounds with bigger pots. Once the 'sly' all-inners get the others pot committed, it's nothing more than Lady Luck at the Races. Look at the hands that show, and win, in multi-hand all-in rounds. Half or more of the showing hands don't have a hand that ANY skilled Omaha player would ever bet the farm on preflop.

Sounds like you were at a bad table, that happens in NL too. Happy to say that I was actually at a decent table today. Only the dealer hated me..lol..small bet pre-flop is all I'll go, even with "monster" hands. AA gets beat by 22 just like Hold'em and just as often. Hope tonights freeroll is better for ya.

Not just a bad table. It's every PL Omaha. Have played all of them since I joined. As I noted, on every one at the 1 hour mark, only 25% are left, as compared to NLHE where usually 33-35% or more are left.

That isn't because of superior play. It's the early out of the all-in play with anything that looks like 4 cards to start. It's the statistics forming the comment, not just a biased opinion (in my opinion)... biggrin
