Railbird name: Smiley_Chicky
Age: 35
Gender: Female
Location: Seabrook, TX
Years Playing Poker: ohhhh, I guess about 20 years live, and about 2 years online
Fav. game: Draw games and NLH
Fav hand: Too many to list, but I am favoring T9 suited at the moment
Fav Poker Site: Full Tilt Poker
PS ID: smiley chick
FTP ID: Smiley_Chicky

#1 Why did you chose your Railbird.com screen name/ what does it mean?
Well, most times I am smiling and just having a great time...And I am ALL chick...So I just put the 2 together, and there you have me...

#2 How many hours each day/week spent playing poker on?
Whew, way too many according to my daughter...3-4 hrs weekdays...unlimited nights and weekends...

#3 How would you define your style of play?
Tight aggressive, learning to play a bit loose aggressive

#4 Poker Achievements?
One of my greatest achievements has nothing to do with a win. It is reaching a point in my game that I realize when it is time for a break. I have practiced this achievement much easier in live play than online, and I am catching on to how much it can improve my game online. When it's time for a break for whatever reason (losing money, losing your edge, losing sight of why you are there...etc.), it's just time for a break and I consider it a great achievement to be able to know when that time has come.
As far as one particular game achievement...I won a live game that was a $200 buy-in plus re-buys and had over 50 people playing, including 2 players from Houston who have final tabled in live WSOP events. One of which, I compare to Daniel Negraneau and his ability to read people. He and I went HU for over an hour, which was the most intense hour of poker that I have ever played. And although not the only live win I have had, was by far the greatest payday I ever had.

#5 what brought you to join railbirds in the first place, and what keeps u here ?
I railed a friend that I play live with and he invited me to join. Ohhh and what keeps me here is the easiest answer...THE PEOPLE!

#6 Which pro would you like to face in a HU match and why?
Daniel Negraneau, cause he's just so darn cute

#7 how have you improved your game...was it by lots of practice, was it by books you have read and if so, which books, was it by playing live ??
All of the above...I have been reading poker books for years, losing money by practicing the new things I learned and trying to turn them into something that I can affectly use in my game. (I still have a long way to go.) The funnest book I have read was very elementary as far as poker, but was a great read..."Badass Girls' Guide to Poker"...It was a great read for females who play and alot of what she said in this book was so funny because it is so true. Basically, cleavage wins chips...lol

#8 What advice for somebody starting to play?
Read books, practice in freerolls before depositing, and be sure to maintain a sense of bankroll management. Poker can make a person go broke before you realize what hit you. Especially if you play live. Believe me, the easiest way to learn bankroll management is to go broke, like I have done before.

#9 Who are 10 players you look up to on railbirds and why?
or Who do you think based on what you've seen or read, would you like to face heads up on railbirds? Ohhhh the top of the list is TheWall...Not only for his "game", but for the time that he takes to share his learnings with others and basically teaching us how to beat him. He demands respect on the felt as well as gives it. When railing him, you will not see him fly off the handle, but rather will see a classy bird who takes every beat the same, whether receiving it or schooling the table with 85os. To go ahead and answer the second question...TheWall...It is all in friendly competition, but I will see him HU someday and outlast him...That will be the ultimate day in all of the days I have spent playing poker. Hey, we all have to have goals, right?lol
There are several other railbirds that I look up to for many different reasons. I don't really want to start naming because I know that I will miss someone. But I would like to say that most railbirds have a reason to look up to them...Whether it be because they play a strong game, support others when needed, laugh with us, and cry with us as well...But all in all, the birds I look up to the most are those that take the time from their busy lives to share...

#10 How do you play differently in tournaments vs. cash games?
I tend to stay tighter in tourneys and get a little wild and silly in cash games...

#11 What would you consider a weakness in your game/ something you need to improve? I definitely need to improve my bullying skills...

#12 What are some typical "TELLS" that an online Poker player is bluffing ?
Overbetting a pot, and sometimes hesitation...

#13 How Has Railbirds.com helped your game play?
It has helped in more ways than I could ever list here...

#14 Best Moment in a trny?
See #4...

#15 Most recent trny win?
: (non railbird trny) Live game a few weeks ago for $400

#16 Who introduced you to poker ?
My Dad...Being the oldest of 8 kiddos, we played alot of cards as kids...May play a draw game one hand then go fish the next...But it was more about the family being together. I don't think he realized he was raising a bunch of gamblers...hehehe

#17 How does your strategy help in Freerolls provided by Railbirds.com?
It doesn't...I go there to have fun and see my friends and rail them more than I pay attention to my own game...

#18 Any tips for Railbird members when sitting at a table with you lol ???
Just give me the chips and it will be easier on all of us...lol

#19 If their wasn't Poker, what would you be doing?
Reading about poker? Errr...That's poker too huh? Can't say that I can think of anything else...is there REALLY anything else?

#20 What other Hobbies do you have besides playing poker?
Reading, playing online backgammon, and having my daughter whip my tail at chess...

One thing that I would like to add is that I am a PROUD member of Shaka's SHARKS! If you aren't a shark, you're just FOOOOOOOD!
