Folded a Royal Flush, would have trippled up

Sep 30, 2007 12:42 am Report Abuse

Im sure this happens to a lot of players, folding the best hand. Anyone else ever go on tilt for folding? Like folding small pockets preflop, making the right move, but finding you would have like 4x the chips if you called? Then you start playing everyhand and lose most your chips?

You guys have to forget about the cards that come up after you fold you hand. They would not be the same if you would be in the hand still.

In real life poker, the cards are predetermined after the deck is shuffled and cut. The same 5 cards will be the community cards no matter what.

In online play, the community cards are unknown even by the computer until the hand is checked or called. Then the computer asks for the card(s). That way people cannot design programs to find out the next card(s) before the bets are made.

I don't let it get to me. I do however remember my cards to see how the others in the hand are betting, that way I have a better idea of how many chips I can get from them later.
