#1 Why did you chose your Railbird.com screen name/ what does it mean?
Back when I was first playing poker (over 20 years ago....OMG!!) my friends gave me the nickname Assassin since I liked to lie in wait and let people hang themselves (slow play the small pair or little connectors and catch a set or a straight). When I went to sign up for my first online poker site (partypoker) Assassin was already taken, so I changed the S's to 5's and thus was born A55A55IN
#2 How many hours each day/week spent playing poker on?
I average probably about 3 hours a day during the week and maybe 6 a day over the weekends....more during the winter and less during the summer.
#3 How would you define your style of play?
Tight/Aggressive with a big dollop of sneaky/slow play. (see answer to Question #1). Though in big tourney's I tend to be much looser and passive early in the game since I like to see a lot of flops.
#4 Poker Achievements?
Building up almost a 10k bankroll on
Full Tilt over the course of a year while playing for just two hours or one SnG/tourney per day without ever making a deposit (Sold some play chips and won some free rolls to get started). Then I had to cash it out since I needed the money. That was about 2 years ago under another nic.
#5 In the Railbirds TBL what place are you in for the year ?
No where....LOL. Actually 1000 something last I looked. Only been a RB member for not quite 3 months. I miss the 2pm EST tourneys since I'm still at work. And the 9pm EST ones go on too late, I never have enough sleep if I stay up for them. I hope in June to time myself right so I can at least stay up and play in the Ranking Free Rolls, I just wish they'd post some sort of schedule on the site. I also plan not to play unless I'm sure I have it in me to play the whole tourney. That last bit means you'll be seeing less of me in the free rolls.(Is that a sigh of relief I hear?...LOL)
#6 So, are you a hustler or just a big fan of green felt?
I'm a big fan of Hustlers of all types. Any one can learn a lot from us just by watching.
#7 Do you have any superstitions when you play poker? (Certain hands, routine)
Unless theres a big raise or I'm really short stacked I'll usually call the flop with a 2,4 off suit. One hand I almost never like to play is 10,4. Another thing I like to do (I don't usually do this in railbirds games) is to invoke Murphy's Law. I do it by saying "May St. Murphy Strike You All.....And Not ME!!!!!" I get some interesting comments. LOL.
#8 What advice for somebody starting to play?
Visit my page and read the 10 rules of poker my dad taught me.
On top of these 10 rules: Read, read, and read some more. Books, Websites, the Railbirds forum and blogs, whatever you can find. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!!
Once you have the basics down: Play, play, and play some more. Discover your strengths and/or weaknesses and then play to/away from them. Do this by playing every type of game: ring, 1 table SnG's, MTT's, holdem, 5 card, stud, omaha, lo, hi, hilo, no limit, pot limit, and fixed. Each type of game will teach you other aspects of poker that will improve your play in the other poker games. Man made it to the top of the food chain by being versatile, and so do poker players. Specialization is for insects!
During the Railbirds Free Rolls take any criticism to heart and ask questions. Criticism from someone who has posted a lot of poker relevant blogs, or is in the top 200 is usually worth listening to. If your not sure you should listen to them, ask the player their railbird name. Any one worth listening to will tell you what it is and you can look them up. Asking questions at the table is another good thing to do. If they don't answer ask them to send you a private message after the game. Railbirds is a school as much as anything else, and the good players will help the not so good ones get better because someone at some point in their own poker career took the time to tell THEM.

#9 What do you do to continually improve your game?
Read, read, and read some more; and play, play, and play some more
#10 How do you play differently in tournaments vs. cash games?
I like to see a lot of cheap flops very early and tend to be passive or slow play monster hands more in tournaments. Especially if I have a big stack. I tend to tighten up once past the first couple blind increases or as my stack shrinks and then I loosen up a lot once in the money.
#11 What are you playing online these days?
Holdem Tourneys and SnG's and Omaha Hi/Lo Ring Tables.
#12 What are some typical "TELLS" that an online Poker player is bluffing ?
Relative to the way the player has using time all along, really fast or really slow big bets. Also big bets from position. But those can be dangerous calls since they just might have the nuts too!
#13 How Has Railbirds.com helped your game play?
To loosen up later in a tourney.
#14 Do you use the "notes" section on poker sites and does it help your game play?
The only thing I really use it for is to remember names and to note real donkeys. They are dangerous and the ones that will take a good player out of a game by surprise.
#15 Most recent trny win?: (non railbird trny)
Numerous SnG's. Haven't been doing many multi table tourneys.
#16 Largest amount won in a trny?
About 2 years ago I won just over $1200 in a tourney on Full Tilt.
#17 How does your strategy help in Free rolls provided by Railbirds.com?
When I have the time to sit through the whole tourney it seems to work since I usually get at least some change.
#18 Any tips for Railbird members when sitting at a table with you lol ???
Bow and scrape before your better. LOL. Actually you can ask me anything, even to show cards if you fold to a big bet I make. I'll usually answer, or show my cards, if it's phrased nicely and not abused by asking TOO much. I'm also a wisea55, so if you can't take a joke or cocky wisea55 remarks, right click and select "ignore chat".
#19 Where do you see your self in 1 year playing poker?
Not this year since I can't get the vacation time but like 99% of the players out there I hope to be at the 2008 WSOP. Hopefully on the dime of either
Poker Stars or Full Tilt.
#20 Is there anything else you would like people to know about yourself that is poker-related or even non-poker related?
I'm a blunt, plain spoken, stubborn bastard. If I think your a dummy or a donk I'll say so. (A donk is a donk is a donk!!!). Don't get upset (or do, I like people on
tilt nbsp; ) just ask me why I called you a dummy or a donk and I'll tell you. Just don't get mad at the answer or try to change my mind. Listen to what I had to say and THINK!

Good read. Don't forget A55, a donk is worse than a dummy.
