How PPROCKETS won was through incredible patience and the ability to stay true to the proper decision of playing your own game, no matter how long it takes or how frustrating it may be. This was a Final Table of players prepared to "gut it out" and not make stupid mistakes. The game was fold, fold, fold, and then fold some more ... believing that those who did go "all-in" were telling the truth, and did have excellent starting-cards ... and showdown after showdown proved that this was, indeed, the reality of play.

AA v. AK, AK v. AQ, AQ v. KK, JJ v. TT (a position call), KK v. QQ ... if you did not have high pockets, A-paint, or ATsuited ... well, it was a fold, and the majority of players stuck to this plan of only putting their chips at risk with "premium" plays. Yes, there were some 72o cards shown (afterall, there were donkeys present), but that was usually after it had been folded completely around.

And there were plenty of river suckouts and catches: AA losing to KK when a third-K hits on the river (sorry, Phoo), AAKK losing to a third-J, and a few flushes and gap-straights that meant the person heading to the rail was biting their tongue, cursing the Poker Gods, but politely typing: "n catch GG gl" - the game was both well-played and very well-mannered, by a great group of birdies.

CONGRATULATIONS to Tom1559 for a very patient 3rd-place (the possibility that he, and any of the last trio, could have won is high - all played great), to HotPepperIV for superior lizzard "BATTLE!" skills (easily a near-win; it came down to so many coin flips), and - of course - to the champion, PPROCKETS.

Thanks to all who played - this was a marathon - and a very good lesson in patience, endurance, and being able to persevere - WTG & "Geronimo!"

ty for the accolades jo. was a great game played well by everyone. Just came down to a coin flip most of the time and I got lucky and won the flip. Had a lot of fun and alot of laughs with all.
