Rush Poker Advantage

Jan 21, 2010 2:07 am Report Abuse

Yesterday we all found Rush Poker as Full Tilt calls it avaliable for our entertainment. I gave it a whirl and posted my thoughts on the game in a blog that was well recieved by the birds here, if you missed it, then here is a link:

www.railbirds.com/blog/315122/rush-poker-thoughts.html

I ended up only playing about 20 minutes to get the information I posted, at one time I had doubled my $20 buy in, however I ended up cashing out with only $2.25 profit, but I had the information I wanted, so all was good. I have read some blogs since, and all the comments, and am pleased to find that some Railbirds are having success with this new format.

The purpose of this blog is for those who have found a way to beat the game, to share their methods used here, so we can compile as much information to help all birds who want to play, and win money at this game ! I don't have anything else to add to what I posted in the last blog, but I am hoping that birds who have won money playing Rush, will share their information here, and maybe with enough good information, we can find a pattern, or Strategy that will work for those who haven't found a way to beat the game yet !

So, if you have profited from the game, please share how you did it here, and let's develop a winning strategy for this game, that All Railbirds who want to can use to beat this new game !.....Thank You to all who participate !

I like the format alot. I've been up and down so far but like everyone else still learning. I don't know what strategy is best. I just try to play good hands only. Alot of blind stealing going on so if you have a strong hand I would suggest repopping it and you'll see alot of folds. Just the 2nd day of it so I don't know if anyone will have a full proof method of beating the game yet. GL to everyone playing!!!

What I have found is that most players feel the need to "rush". So you can actually play quite methodically and you'll get paid off more often. Plus you can steal every button thats folded to you, cause no one is getting reads. If I was going to play for more than 20 minutes, I'll stick to my traditional ring games. But for the quick action, rush poker is where it is at.

i like the style for play chips but as for real cash i'm not a big fan, yesterday alone i was playin the .05/.10 tables* 9 man* and well lets say i lost about $30 to people who can't get away from the paint cards when your the raiser pre-flop and your poppin it about 5X the BB when you got a big PP like a-a, k-k and q-q, other than that it's not that bad
Hoovini Jan 21, 2010 2:34 am
LOL keep folding till you get PP or face cards....try to limp with them....Suited cards are fine as well to limp with...Dont bluff to much cause there are already alot of idiots that call no matter what...from countries i will not say...lol....But i have made about 50.00 today last night i made 30.00....But the best part....LOTS OF FT Points very fast.............Everyone can be a iron man playing these games.....

I have played two sessions of 103 hands.... both times i bough in for the minimum of 4 dollars in a .05/.10 6 max. 1st session I played approximately 15 hands played very lil but played my premium hands very aggressive. i got up with $26.50.

2nd session 103 hands as well. I played it the same way. Only played about 10 hands. Set down with $4 got up with $9.69. So nothing big or major but profit in both.

To me u had alot of information correct in the first blog u wrote. I saw a lot of the same things u had mentioned in both sessions. Also I would like to add that this is a very fast way to earn FTPS. I earned 14 yesterday and 10 today playing very lil.

yeah at first i liked these but it didnt take long for me to see enough sick action where my head and BR hurt i think Full Tilt is taking in more rake with these considering most ppl are playing at least 4x as many hands but the points you get from paying more rake are a nice compensation overally though i am down too much too fast to say these are for me

So I guess you have had enough time away from online poker to come back???

oh and on the Rush Poker I had some success yesterday for the few minutes i played it. will i play it again not to sure i will at the small stakes but maybe at the mid stakes ill keep you informed.

Well first off, my FT roll is to depleted to play real money.

That said I had to build a buyin for play chips as the min is 2000. I had to lose 2 buyins before I met with any success in the play money. Since that I have been staying up pretty easily. And it is WAY addictive.

IF I ever get my roll up enough to play the real money, which I wouldn't even consider with less than 150 $ as the variance can be insane, I will let you know.

Peace, BPB

looks easy to build play chips fast. Then use them to enter 500k play chip tournies with cash payout. For players with no bankroll. sample hand below.Started with 5k chips left with 20k in 100 hands.

I love this game although my first day of it I have been on the downside. I have had great successes to only give it back. My thought is don't get caught up in the speed of the game and remain disciplined. That has been my biggest problem. There are many opportunities to steal due to the lack of information and because you don't have to maintain a table image. Also if want to defend your blind reraise due the larceny especially if the raiser is coming from the button or cutoff. Plus people love to trap with there big pairs preflop. The under the gun AA limp/raise is very common. So many times limpers will hit back. Obviously gathering information is almost impossible but use good instincts and you can win a lot of money.

was down 30$ first day , got it back today,, lot of bluffing and chassing going on, worth waiting for good sitations, good quick fix,, easy to get caught up,, set a limit, profit margin time frame , and get, out. chasers will catch you

ok i take back what i said earlier about rush maybe it was the lower stakes i was playing because i put 50 on the $1 BB and after about 300 hands i am up over $400 so i decided its time to leave the table i suppose its all about timing in rush some of my biggest winning hands were in fact not AA but QJ suited an 77 i cant wait to see how this averages for me in the next few days
monacoll Jan 21, 2010 7:15 pm
ok I just played it..I started with 10.00 got up to 29.00 from a suck out (I got lucky), lost back down to 20.00( tried to bluff a big stack) then came back to 30.00 and left. I liked the game...I played position, and picked on short stacks( they didn't seem to want to lose anymore and I could push the biggest part of them off their hand with a bluff) So I conclude you can build your bankroll IF you follow a few simple rules...play premium hands in position..sometimes try and see a cheap flop with suited A rag, sm pairs...get in have no flop get out and move on DO NOT chase. Overall I enjoyed the game.

The session I played the other day, almost everyone was playing tight. I agree with the raise or fold suggestion for the most part. I think you can call in position with second tier hands. So the two pieces of advise
Play AGGRESSIVELY
Play in position
