Morning everbody

Hoping everbody had a great week end. Now it's back to another week of what ever it is we all do. For most, I guess it's back to work. I was fortunate to have yesturday off. What I did may as well been working making that dollar. But did get a lot done that I have been puting off for sometime now. So kind of happy about that.
I got a spare room I call my junk room. Well was geting so was very hard to find what ever I wanted in there. Everthing so cluttered. So spent some time tidying up a bit. Even found things, I was looking for before, and things forgot I even had. I store many of my kitchen gadgets in there, for lack of room in the kitchen. Now I know where things are,and what I have and don't have. This spring, everthing comes out of there, and will build shelves to sit everthing on. Will even make it a lot better yet. Don't know about ya all, but I have a dislike trying to find something I know I have. Sometimes find it, and sometimes don't. Then I went through and cleaned the house. Which didn't take long, cause I keep it looking pretty good anyways. Never know when company may pop in.
I adopted another daughter yesturday. The first one being Lise (Lildeveau). Now my new daughter is none other then a very sweet friend of mine, Suzette. We talk back and forth a lot, don't know how she puts up with me at times. But she does. Ya all probably know she lives in Finland. Might add is also pretty good with the english launguage. Which is a good thing, cause what dutch I know hant enough to carry on a conversation with lol. I can speak some dutch, but wouldn't have no idea how to spell the words. She is just a sweetheart of a lady.
Past few nights has been bitter cold here. Been anywhere between 14 and 16 below zero. Sure happy to have my furnace working right again. Would have frozzen my tush off for sure. Yesturday, it did manage to get to almost 20 above. So that was kind of a heat wave for a change. Might add, not much in the line for wind either, which is odd for here. Hant got no idea what today's weather will bring forth. Bet I will have a good idea about that come tomorrer morning.
One good thing about these cold nights and chilly days is. It kills a lot of the bad germs lingering around. Lot less sickness when that happens. Hey did ya all see the blog sweets AKA sun wrote? Guess they got hammered with snow. They got almost 1/2 inch. I imagin everthing shut down because of that. To me, that's funny, cause we wouldn'teven call that amount a dusting. But when ya seldom get snow, no matter how much. It is a big thing to them. She showed some pics of the boys sliding down hill along with Jeremy's girl friend. Did look pretty cool. kind of wanted to see sweets come rumbling down that hill in a tote box as well. Now that would have been something to see for sure. I wonder if they built a snowboy. Wernt enough there to build a snowman. Damn, I hope she don't read this. I'll be in deep trouble lol. But then what's new for me. Trouble is my middle name a lot. Not that I cause it ya understand, just comes naturaly.
Saturday at work, I was on my lunch hour. Always sit in my truck during that time. Mostly just to watch people. Sure enough I wernt disappointed none. Here comes a lady through the parking lot, with high heels on. I guessed them to be maybe 4 or 5 inch spikes. There was a lot of slush and made it difficult to walk with just plain oleboots or shoes on. Now what a time she had geting to the store. Lost count of how many times she almost went on her rear. Sure expected with each step she was going to twist her ancle, but she did make it after a fashion. Wernt very long and here she comes back out to get to her car. Carrying a bag in each hand. Now she was really having problems. Then some dang do gooder took her bags, and held her arm, and helped her to her car. I told her on the way to it, as I was helping her. Those high heels sure hant the thing to wear in this stuff. Ya should really wear regular shoes or boots until ya get to where ever it is your going. Then put those things on, if that's what ya wish to wear. Ya could get hurt real bad with them on. She said nothing, except a thank you once she got into her none the less PT Cruiser. Had I known that's what she was driving, wouldn't have helped. Have a total dislike for those weird looking things. Ride like a lumber wagon. Least little pebble in the road and ya hit your head on the roof. Best ya don't have a bad case of hemroids riding in them things that's for sure. And ugly, just as ugly as ole witch broom Hilda with a wort on her nose. Seeing them so called cars, is enough to give ya a bad nightmare. Course my opinionis all the cars are ugly now days. Was a time when ya could see one coming, and knew exactly what it was, and what year it was. But not anymore. Now it's hard to tell what it is.Most of them are so ashamed of what they are selling, there hant no name plate on them. Only a little bitty emblem, ya got to look hard to see. Worst yet, don't matter what kind it is, they pretty much all look the same, at least to me. What ever happened to the good cars, like the Desoto, or Hudson Hornet. Now there was a car of all cars. Weighed almost 2 ton, big ole flat head straight 8 engine, wernt bad on gas, most of all rode like a dream. There was many others, but those 2 was my favorite ones. That's when cars had class. Unlike what ya get now. If ya get hit in the ass nowdays, your more then likely going to have the make believe rear bumper right up your pupper nanny. Think I will just stick to my big ole trucks.
That bout does it from this part of the world. Hope ya all have a most wonderful week ahead, as well as a safe one. Out a smile on your lips, happy thoughts in your head, and a twinkle in your eye. Ole hillie loves ya all.

Ah the DeSoto..what a car..we had one back in '59 out in South Africa...I think because it was imported they called it the Plymouth DeSoto
I was just 14 at the time but when the old man used to go down to the pub I used to drive it back with strict instructions not to go anywhere but home..hehehehe..fancy telling me that..then in '60 we took on the Plymouth Savoy which I think was the same car renamed for export???
The front end was different...and those bench seats..hell I could stretch almost full length on them ( girls could too lol), ours were straight sixes and could run just as smooth on 5 cylinders!!!!
And Hillie dont be laughing at the 'dusting' of snow we had our first snow in years here too...
