This is NOT a good thing!

Trust me when I say, if you are going down the road and this happens to your drive belt, you will soon find yourself, as I found myself, on the side of the road, waiting for a ride, cause the scooter just isn't going any further!

Happened on the way home last Friday from my Mom's in Oregon. Got within 65 miles of home and this happened.

65 mile walks are healthy. 4 out of 28 doctors say you should take one once a year to stay in good shape.

HEEYYYYY, Idaho plates!!!!! I knew you were cool. Sorry the belt snapped. Did you take it to a dealer to get fixed? I hope it isn't a systemic problem with the belts. Could have been old?

No master link for the smooth riding belt, is there...lol...Back in the day, I had the same thing happen to me, but with a chain, and 300 miles from home, it is a miserable feeling ! I was lucky, I had a master link with me, and repaired it roadside....Hope you found assistance without problem, most wreckers and bikes don't work too good together...

Actually, it was a pretty good day up till then and once my buddy showed up with his trailer (that guy is a saint, this is the third time he has come and saved my butt), we stopped and had a nice oyster dinner before making it the rest of the way home.

The belt wasn't that old, only 40K miles on it, supposed to last 100k or more. Picked up a little rock that got under it and that did the job.

I get on here and check my messages but just don't seem to find time to play much poker these days. I am hoping to play the Monster Mash today though. Timing is a bit of a problem but I think I can work it out.

Was not in Powell Butte this time and if the bike isn't fixed soon, I won't be this weekend either, as I had hoped to.

Scotty, I have been around just somewhat MIA. Life is good and it is busy.

Give the wife a hug from me, too
