My Trip to WSOP

Tomorrow I make my flight out to Vegas for my WSOP events and I'm trembling with anticipation! This, by far, will be the biggest thrill of all my poker experiences and I want to thank RAILBIRDS.COM for this awesome opportunity. I've never had an occasion to play in such a high stakes game and the chance to play with some of my poker heroes will be an experience I'll never forget. I hope to make all railbirds proud of my performance.

The first event I'll be playing is #47 starting on Wed June 24. It is a mix limit/no limit tournament (switches every 30 min). I decided this would be a great tournament for me that symbolizes my poker history as I got my start playing limit poker 13 1/2 years ago and gradually made the move to play no limit more frequently. This will likely be a large event and I'm anticipating a field of 2000+ players. It's also a televised event so there may be an opportunity to see me play! If I'm lucky enough to make it on the small screen, you'll instantly recognize who I am! (A hint of things to come very soon to railbirds.com)

My 2nd event will likely be my best chance of winning a bracelet (gotta think BIG!). It will be event #53 (starting Jun 28th) and is a 7 card hi/lo tournament. Last year, this event only had 583 entrants so it will be a much smaller field and therefore slightly easier to cash. 7 card hi/lo has most recently been my favourite game and I've had some strong results lately so I'm hoping that run will continue into this event.

I'll be bringing a laptop with me so I'll do my best to provide updates as my games progress. Once again I want to thank RAILBIRDS.COM for this amazing trip - I can't express how grateful I am for this chance of a lifetime.

PS: I'm also going to bring a portable recorder on the off chance that I am on the receiving end of a Phil Helmuth rant after busting him with the Quasi.
