Feds freeze $30 million of online poker players' assets

Well.... I guess this might be showdown time. Yep... it's the river and we need a good card. It's time for ALL online poker players to step up and call this bluff! Let's ALL get in touch with our congress men and women and let them know how we feel about the game of poker. Poker IS a game of skill and not just another form of gambling. We need to express ourselves at this time in the history of online poker and make our views and concerns known. Yes, this may very well change online poker a great deal, but WE as online poker players have a great opportunity here to write the history books on online poker! We could just sit back on our backsides and let the chips fall where they may... or we can be the aggressor and take control of the pot and come out a winner! Let's take this flop we have been presented and show our lawmakers we indeed have the best hand! There are some 10,000,000 online poker players in this country! We can make a difference!

If you haven't seen anything on this... here is a link to a video! (chefjimmy posted this on his site)

I agree this is definently the time to step up and make sure that we are heard. Its sad when it seems a country that once used to be so full of integrity now seems empty yet full of greed. This is just an other way for the government to try to get their piece of the pie. Its ok for someone to go to the corner store and buy hundreds of dollars worth of lotto tickets, which is pure chance, but not ok for someone to play poker online with their own hard earned cash.. Completely ludicrous....Gl on and off the felt!!

Very disheartening for sure. I imagine this will negatively impact the sites as many players will wonder whether they want to deposit or even bother to play as much now. I've been working at building bankrolls across 6 sites for awhile now, never bothering to take any money out as I've always had hopes for being rolled good enough to regularly play large buyin MTT's some day. Now I'm really wondering what the hell to do.... argh!!
