BB fold?!?!

Jun 11, 2009 1:54 am Report Abuse

anybody else agree that they wish they could just fold when they are in the BB rather than check?? i find a lot of my hands i lose is when im in the big blind...average/terrible cards that normally you would pitch...seems as if tilt likes to give the BB a piece of the action more often than not..peaks my interest so i stay in and BAM!! get hit hard and lose a lot of my chips...ya figure nobody has a real good hand cuz nobody raised preflop, so you think your top pair on the board is good, so you bet it, then i pot commit myself and, long story short, lose..be so much easier to throw my 9,10 sooted in the much rather than check 'em in the BB!!

Absolutely NOT, Like my Grandfather used to drill into my head when playing poker. " You never say more then you have to, pay more then you have to, or lay before you have to"

You should NEVER EVER fold when you can check and maybe, just maybe end up winning.

Just one mans opinion... great question

Ummm well no I'm a big fan of free cards ,

getting overly attached to one pair with a bad kicker

sounds like the problem here , quit it , gl

well if you have the 10 9 in the bb and there are at least a few other people in the pot, chances are your top pair is dominated. no preflop raises could be hands like A9 K9 A10 K10 etc. that put your 10 9 in bad shape if you catch top pair. i love when everyone limps and i'm in the bb, free poker!!!

sorry, i disagree too ... I never turn down a free flop if i have junk. Thankfully, I won't add good money after that, if I don't hit a strong hand, i toss it
